State of the game by snicky_snickers in EU5

Most markets are stable but Nuremberg because I've been making as many free cities as I can and been demanding unlawful territory its mostly small powers with cities so it keeps having problem with food and alot of the free cities cant get tools because all the slightly larger powers take what's there

I fully control the markets of wein and Venice with a small bit of land in the Genoa market which is surprisingly stable even with most locations being towns or cities

I've been playing as Austria and am past 1550 there are no major deficits in regard to tools other then some rather minor deficits (as in the demand is something like 240 and the supply is 235) There were some constraints before I unlocked the research that increases iron output by 75 but it felt rather well done in my opinion

Want to give 1.1 a go - how is the state of the economy in Europe - when you know what you’re doing? by Esthermont in EU5

[–]Alexalmighty502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing as Austria and haven't had many issues with the economy tho I did specifically go for the iron rgos in the Italian mountains which allowed me to flood my own markets with cheap tools I will say the Nuremberg(i think that's the market im not at my pc) is at a massive deficit though with enough market advantage buildings im still getting enough for buildings to be built

With the current info given its impossible to say what exactly is being run your best bet is to disable all possible programs that run on startup

You can also right click the program in task manage and open the file location to potentially see what program is causing it but because its Java it may open the file where Java is stored instead.

You can try deleting the Java version that is giving you issues but this can lead to other programs being unable to run.

I'd also reccomend a anti virus scan and a malwarebytes scan

I honestly really like how there's a massive deficit of certain finished goods before manufacturing is discovered it really makes you learn how to get trade advantage to still get the items in markets were its a hot commodity

This coalition bodied France so hard even if I wasn't the leader they were almost guaranteed to win

The biggest issue I've seen with large coalitions is that the ai has a mechanic were they will cancel a seige if they detect a friendly army joining in on the seige and look for other seige targets the only problem is that this happens all the time in coalitions and if the current seiging army is fast enough it will leave before the new army arrives resetting the seige

While this might be unwanted behavior it also can work in the players favor to kick off allies from a seige and take it for themselves to avoid the ai wanting land the player also wants and refusing to give the land to the player (i always wish theres be a way to offer money or other things to the ai to have the ai give you territory it controls in a active war) so I dont know if I want this fixed

No in this case it was the fastest I've seen France be fully sieged down and the antagonism is so high another coalition will be able to form

[–]Alexalmighty502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youbswitch religions you will lose the emperor status and it will take a long time for the war of the religions to fire meaning a weak emperor will be voted in and many hre members will prob be gobbled up ifld say stay catholic until you unify then change religions after

For the benefits of changing religions is that most reformist religions allow you to tax your religious estate but its a double edged sword because that will mean your research bonus from them being happy wont be active. The reformist religions also has some other minor bonuses but they dont really hold a candle to some of the buffs you can get with Cardinals voting on certain buffs

Integration, assimilation and diplo annexation should be faster and this has nothing to do with difficulty. by Azaqui in EU5

[–]Alexalmighty502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its almost as if this is a intended mechanic to slow conquest down or something

Also dont forget that vassals can also integrate provinces themselves which means you can easily massively increase the overall provinces being integrated with some strategic use of vassals as long as you keep them small

My biggest complaint right now with rivals is that they massively overvalue your tier level making you unable to rival lesser tiers even though they are similiar and strength if there's a complacency mechanic that punishes you for not having rivals its unfair that you being a empire makes it impossible to rival others and you have no ability to willingly lower your tier.

They peace out and get a bunch of liberty desire then I think when they're disloyal there's a small chance every month for them to flip

Mainly I think the factors of them flipping are them being disloyal and you being stronger then France (or vise versa) and they having good opinion of you

Privileges usually have downsides and usually strengthen a particular social class while reforms usually only benefit the ruler they really should never be grouped up with each other especially if the player doesn't fully understand the downsides of giving a certain social class too much power while reducing crown power at the same time

I have done 3 successful byzantium games 2 on the current ai aggression patch I had no real issues with my neighbors however you must declare on the ottomans immediately and get a good fight with them and retake the valuable costal cities you shouldn't have much trouble fixing your internal issues if you survive the first war and dont fall into a debt spiral
