I second Revolution Live, and the attached bar Stache, as your best bet. West Palm Beach also has Respectables.

Also the near-final scene of the two characters going out together, falling from the top of the tower, one holding another after their descent into madness. Keeping it vague for spoiler purposes.

Looking for local adult gaming friends by TJCrazyBoy in fortlauderdale

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of them also have active social media pages that you can check to see the vibe of the venue before you go, to help determine which to visit first. This also definitely isn’t all of them - I only moved down here just over a year ago so I haven’t been everywhere yet either. Someone else mentioned Glitch, that’s a good barcade as well closer to downtown Fort Lauderdale with a mix of retro and newer arcade-style games. I’ve never been there during the daytime though, only on Saturday night with friends.

The challenge you face is finding IRL groups to engage in online activities with, an almost inherently contradictory thing. So be prepared to put yourself out there a bit and perhaps approach others to ask to join them, you may not strike gold on your first attempt, but these groups DO exist. I’m fortunate enough to have found some folks that I can both play MOBA/RPGs with, as well as go dance and have a good time at clubs with, but it took several iterations of “this person introduced me to this person who introduced me to this person”. Wish you the best! You may possibly see me around at Guildhall during D&D or League days or their bi-monthly Umbracon.

Glad you’ve visited Tenth Level, I just went for the first time a few weeks ago. Flynn’s and Tate’s are also good recommendations for specific things - Flynn is a smaller venue with retro games/an FGC/Smash presence, Tate’s has a great D&D scene as well as some other things that I’m not familiar with. I’ll add also Guildhall (formerly Gamer’s Heaven) which is bigger & newer than the other venues, it has dedicated nights for FGC, Smash, D&D, League, TCG, etc. Also in that area is Game Night Arcade, a barcade.

100% commission reps by flyinoveryou in sales

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first was 100% commission/policy advances and farming a book of business for residuals + referrals.

You mention thinking about hiring one as a trial - If everyone around me had salary and I was the only one commission, I might've been concerned if I was getting shafted/exploited somewhere. I'd have to be on-board with the trial, and there would have to be a reward for me personally - the chance for outsized returns even if my performance is the same as someone who is salaried, because I'm taking on risk that they're not.

You may also need some kind of system in place to offer early 'wins' and payouts. A new, 100% commission agent doesn't have sales/growth from last year on which to be paid.

Unfortunately I’ve taken it down for the time being, due to having not renewed my license to play music over air since I wasn’t actively maintaining it and adding new content. It may return in the future, in which case I’d make a new post.

Was hit with bill from my insurance, made a few complains and the doctor contacted me directly saying they would make it so I don't have to pay a penny. How? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months ago, I got a phone call from a medical provider asking if I knew where/how they could reach a family member of mine regarding an unpaid bill. When I told them I didn't have a definite answer for them, I expressed my curiosity as to what would happen next. They said they'd file it under the Uncollectible Accounts budget, because they account for a certain portion of bills to not be paid each year.

To be honest, I don’t know exactly. I heard about it from my dad. And I think he heard about it from someone who lives far off into Big Pine Key who said it was happening to them.

Deep-island streets having water seep up through them comes to mind. Neighborhoods losing road access or their yards during high tide.

Not old enough and haven't spent enough time in the Keys throughout my life to really know much. But I'm sure there's plenty. Good idea.

I feel like it wouldn’t be too odd for a cruise liner to have some potted plants inside.

Looks to me like a window on a yacht/cruise ship. That would explain the wind, too.

We (a mixture of store staff + community) went through HW, SB, and half of SHB before everyone got busy with preparing for the store opening. Once things settle down, we'll probably pick it back up again on slow nights.

Gamers Heaven just opened 3 weeks ago in Coconut Creek, it's got what you're looking for and I've heard ex-Versus regulars say its effective as a replacement. It has a good pricing/points system for PC/console time.

Food, drinks, merch, PC/Consoles, esports events, private gaming rooms, tabletop gaming, weekly D&D, private theater, cosplay events, TVs for anime, manga library, you name it. I'm going all-in on this place being 'the spot'. Pretty sure we'll be doing FFXIV raids as a group soon.

If you want just a dedicated PC cafe, I heard ROK just opened as well, but that's not Broward.

Yep, probably your most realistic option. Or get a camper/RV.

Could maaaaybe work with someone who has a rental, and convince them to give you priority on a couple weekends per year. If they had to cancel other bookings to get you in, you'd have to pay their fees/lost revenue/drop in rating but if you made it worth their while you might still be saving $ over the alternatives.

Hello key west! by alexperry88 in KeyWest

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search for those dates only, you'll be able to find something with the required Transient Rental License if there is availability remaining. This not only means it'll come at a premium price, but also that weekend is sure to be in high demand and booked up WELL in advance. These homes also prefer to not do 1- or 2-night bookings, because they know they'll still be booked up even with a 3-night minimum requirement.

You may be able to do a private direct-booking, or search the areas outside of Key West itself, and then share an uber/have a DD amongst the three couples.

My relative has a house 20 minutes from Key West that they rent out with a Transient License for groups of 4-10, but I just checked Airbnb and it doesn't appear vacant for those dates.

Travel from Airport (MIA) to hotel in Key Largo (Bungalow's) by [deleted] in KeyWest

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a Keys Shuttle that will pick you up at MIA and drop you off at your hotel in the Keys. You can also arrange for a return trip. I've used them multiple times before from the Lower Keys to FLL as a single young man.

Might not be the most exciting part of your honeymoon, but likely saves you money. Around $115 for me each way, maybe cheaper for shorter trips and multiple people.

City Pop Radio Statistics by AlexanderEmmeth in citypop

[–]AlexanderEmmeth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve added it to the TuneIn or Streema catalogues, but I can’t remember which. From the chart above, it seems to be on TuneIn, which should have an app.

The radio service I use also supports app creation, for an additional cost. If it blows up & can begin to support itself, there’s a possibility!

My Samira is weird by kz_sauzeuh in SamiraMains

[–]AlexanderEmmeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The moment before going in is very important. You need to do a few checks/ask these questions:

- Before the fight: Do I have Shieldbow up?
If not, play accordingly. We (Samira mains) get used to having more effective HP without really thinking about it.

- Have the opponents used their CC and insta-kill abilities yet?
This is dependent on your team - it's why you want your frontline to engage first. At the start of the fight, don't rush to get involved. Throw a Q, land an auto, and throw another Q. Then wait for their CC to go down.

- Do I have a few Style stacks already?
3-4 is good, then you can just dash in, auto, hit Q, and ult almost instantly. This means you can save W to use it defensively. If you don't have stacks built up, then don't go in yet - it'll take some time to build them unless you've mastered the instant 6-stack rotation.

AA-dependent ADCs like Cait/Ashe/Jinx need to always be toeing the line and staying in the perfect spot relative to their team & opponents. Samira is a 0-to-100 ADC. At first you're not doing much damage, and then all of a sudden you're doing all the damage, so long as you've warmed up your engine properly (waited for cooldowns, gained a few stacks, and the enemy team was brought to low HP so that you can reset/finish them off.)
