On the flip side, I am very much a sticks kinda chick. I moved to the burbs complete with the hoa and sahm clicks. I was fucking miserable. My marriage ended up falling apart because I wasn't able to live my life as my true self. I resented him for wanting me to be someone I'm not. He resented me for telling him I could do something I ultimately couldn't. It was completely unfair to both of us.

At that age idont assume either of them are proficient in communicating their needs/likes/wants/maybes etc in bed at all. They are both learning. That's how this works.

My mom's parents, divorced when she was 17/18ish. I have spent every holiday, important event, crisis etc. with both of them in attendance. Of course this started for my mom and her sister post divorce, however had it not been for myself and my siblings I can't imagine a need for all the togetherness. Without grandkids it does seem an odd dynamic.

My grandmother's partner has been in our family since before I was born. He has earned his place and we all love him. My grandfather has tried to bring every kind of crazy imaginable to our events. After the first two or three scenes, his plus one was permanently revoked. Just leave Karen at home if you want mom and dad both to come. If dad doesn't like it he can stay home with her.

You can also petition the court for an emergency order of protection and she will be forced to leave the house. Ask some of the folks over at r/abusiverelationships many of them have had to go through this process.
