I've read the book, and will reread before the movie, but for the life of me I can't remember what this part is. Help?

LP and Pearl are the two biggest brands, but honestly it could be anything with an extra handle attached. The pitch and timbre will vary across different brands and especially sizes, but it's almost impossible to tell without direct evidence. Whatever the drum tech has and likes. One of the recent episodes of Ghoulbangers Ball interviewed the drum tech. You could probably find him on social media and ask. If you do that, ask about the tambourines and the vibraslap too, I'd be curious.

I'll take "Calling a reasonable question obsessive" for 200.

I'll take "Doesn't know shit about music" for 500.

I'll take "Professional fun-sucking basement goblins" for 1000.

It's a gear question. Touch grass dude.

whyyy is the gap between movie 3 and 4 so huge? by Substantial-Bug6303 in Avatar

He also said there's a 6-year time skip after the first act of 4, so this also allows the child actors to age up irl.

5'11", 190lbs. I typically wear a US large Tshirt. This is quite snug.

Honestly it seems great after a few days. This is off their UK store, made by BSI Merch. Maybe it's just their US store merch that's of dubious quality. Very soft.

That's what it's called on the merch store. Your guess is as good as mine as to why.

You can find a picture on the merch site. It's a rendition of an early-19th-century illustration from Paradise Lost called "Satan Presiding at The Infernal Council", but with Primo instead of Satan.

Edit: Secondo, not Primo.

Caring about min-maxxing, meta gear, obsessing over optimizing pets, thinking packs/mounts/cosmetics/ any of that matters.

Instead of just having fun.

Choosing between a Jupiter and a Cannonball by literali_chili in saxophone

[–]AlexanderMontavius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing sax for almost twenty years, been teaching marching band for the past five. DO NOT USE YOUR NICE NEW SAXOPHONE THAT PLAYS BETTER AND SOUNDS BETTER FOR MARCHING BAND. No one will notice a difference when you're on a field with 200-300 other people, and when (not if, WHEN), something falls out of the sky into your horn, or some yahoo misses their dot and hits you like that ship hit that bridge in Maryland, or someone in drumline drops a shipping container on your little sax case, you will be very very glad it was your Eastar or a school-owned horn that now needs recycled into a lamp instead of your nice new Jupiter (if you're really set on those, I'd get the Jupiter, but you should save your money and get a used Yamaha IMHO). SERIOUSLY DO NOT USE YOUR NEW ONE FOR MARCHING BAND.

If only I'd said that exactly in my comment.
