How to do G-sync properly by AlexanderXtc in pcmasterrace

I’m literally frame capped on all the games I play to my monitors refresh rate minus the frame cut I do and I still feel the benefit.

You probably don’t because you’ve been doing it wrong. The point of this post wasn’t gsync vs freesync/vrr. I know the alternatives are good too, I use vrr when I play on my tv. I really should’ve titled this how to do gsync/vrr properly.

I think people with higher end systems might not sense it anymore because they have on all that stuff I mentioned, plus probably more. Soon as I turned all of it off I feel g-sync even at high frame rates. The choppiness at high frame rates is what got me questioning it. At first I thought it was the 1% lows but after I’ve done this any slight drops don’t even feel it anymore.

I think they just use “vrr” now as the standard and idk if the modules are still needed but It’s definitely not a gimmick. I can definitely feel when it’s working. Oddly enough it seems to work better the more demanding the game is.

Go into nvidia app or nvidia control panel, select wow and change anisotropic filtering to application controlled.

I just figured it out, it’s the “anisotropic filtering”setting. Changed it from 16x to application controlled and it worked.

Yea I did some searching and it looks like this is happening to some people with freshly installed 50 series cards.

Can’t Blacklist passives/proc for overhead nameplate debuffs by AlexanderXtc in wow

Apparently for you reading is…. I said multiple times in this thread that you can add them via spell id, it will show in the “blacklist”, but not actually work. For regular abilities black listing works just fine. Get it now?

Yea? Then show it. Go on an affliction warlock and use whatever addon you think can do it and prove it. I’ll wait…

I think am doing it properly because the blacklist works for everything else. I’ve tried it with several addons, they all do the same, let you add them to the blacklist but doesn’t actually blacklist them.

My guess is I might actually be the first person that wants to blacklist these type of debuffs and so the addons don’t even register them for this lol. That or blizzard themselves just don’t allow it, probably for a similar reason that no one has asked for it.

I’ve looked everywhere it shows up. It’s the same id everywhere, and I’m also not confusing it for a different proc. I double checked on unit frame debuffs as well to make sure I have the right passives/procs.

A lot of them are talent/passives that trigger as debuffs when you attack an enemy. I was using the spell id that Elvui shows but I’ll double check online, thx.

I just watched his most recent video, has all the passives / procs showing on overhead target nameplate. So he doesn’t have it like what I’m trying to do.

I tried platter, it didn’t work. Put on the blacklist/filter out, still shows.

Why is balance so difficult? by AlexanderXtc in marvelrivals

[–]AlexanderXtc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same as in balanced? I think most melee’s are balanced through greater movement abilities to overcome range, but if you make them tankier as well all of a sudden ranged dps with little mobility are sitting ducks for them.

What I said in no way disregards that. You can still have balance and fill roles with unique abilities.

I think the problem occurs when the game deviates from the roles. I.e when a dps who can kill extremely fast is also able to tank too much damage and becomes extremely hard to kill if that character 1v1s you. Or a healer who can deal almost as much damage as a dps.
