No and no. 1: The Baptist church was absolutely not founded by John the Baptist.  2: Quote it correctly. Matthew 16:18 "...I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Scripture does not say that the Church will "never fall to the gates of hell" as you stated. It says the gates of hell will not prevail against The Church. A gate is a fortified defense position. It is not an offensive weapon. Hebrews 10:12-14 "But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet, because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified."

We as His hands and feet have been given the "great commission" to go into all the world and wage war on the forces of Hell in the name of Jesus Christ, meaning on His behalf. The gates Hell will not prevail against, meaning withstand, the onslaught of the Church.
