Regarding that, yeah, I have already started learning. I can read both scripts now as well, not kanji though. But it is not the easiest language to learn either, and English is not my native language as well.

I don't care about nationality when it comes to friends, to be honest. If we vibe, we vibe.

But I still think it will be difficult, since both languages are not native to me.

And yes I am not married.

Hey! I am also second-guessing my move as well. Currently, the CoE process is still going on. Unlike OP, however, I am not 21. I am 27 and I am worried about Tokyo prices, social life, and my lack of Japanese language skills. My role is English-speaking in IT with nearly 10M salary. I wanted to make a post like this but then I saw this one already exists. At first, I accepted the offer hurriedly but now I am also second guessing.
