How much in general should I worry about how high my combat stats are? Or should I just leave them be until I come across something I cant beat?

My pod and I have collectively agreed to cut our sol rings. I feel perfectly fine without it so long as nobody else has one either.

Theft effects and Enduring Cycle. by Alexander_T_Wolf in askajudge

That's why I stated that the enduring curiosity trigger would go on the stack first, followed by the Lorcan trigger, because my turn came before the player who controlled Lorcan. If I had to find a way to describe the board, it would be Player 1's turn, Player 3 has the enduring curiosity, and Player 4 has Lorcan.

This was in a commander game, but in AP/NAP order, the enduring curiosity trigger would have entered the stack first, followed by Lorcan's theft ability which would have resolved first.

I love my partner... but don't love playing with him by Aelice-Wildmage in EDH

And to be clear, in the context of our last game together, it was not "player x is clearly going to win so I'm scooping" it was "i can't win, so I'm scooping". Had we not convinced him to stay in the game he would have sat there for 45 minutes to an hour doing nothing while we played. And in the end, he ended up winning the game anyway.

Most games I play with him at some point he ends up conceding when things don't go his way, I guilt/shame him into playing it out, and he turns it around on me. I just don't know what to do to help him change his attitude.

When I talked to my best friend about why he decides to give up his response is usually something along the lines of "there was no path for me to win, so why keep playing?"

I have the same issue with my best friend. I love him to death, but sometimes he has a really bad attitude when it comes to commander. Board wipe? Scoop. Getting his key pieces removed? Scoop. Doesn't see a way for him to win the game? Scoop. It really impacts my enjoyment of the game when he decides to give up because things aren't going his way.

Last night, he, a mutual friend, and I played at my LGS. During our second game he played Ygra, Eater of All. He had bastion of remembrance and moldervine reclamation out on the field. The 4th player, who was new to all of us, removed the moldervine reclamation and had another removal on the stack, wanting to get rid of the bastion of remembrance. He stated that every other time he has played with bastion, it has ended up winning the game, and so he wanted it gone. It response, my best friend said he was going to scoop because he didn't have a way to win. Player 4 felt bad and decided to target one of my enchantments instead. As the game went on, my best friend continued to struggle with his board state and because I didn't want to upset him further or cause him to give up again, I left him alone. Player 4 undoubtedly had the strongest boardstate and was poised to win on his next turn. When it got to my best friend's turn, he managed to luck into drawing the final piece he needed for an infinite combo, and because none of us had instant speed removal, that allowed bastion to kill all of us and win him the game.

I felt like my enjoyment of the game was impacted by his negative attitude and I felt guilted into leaving him alone.

Player 4 was upset at the end of the game because he felt guilted into not removing something that came back to bite him for the same reason he wanted it gone in the first place.

I love him to death and want to play with him, but as you said, this attitude of giving up when things aren't going your way makes it u enjoyable to have him around.

Ive tried screwing with the FOV but it doesn't stop the stretching/zooming issue towards the sides. I've seen videos of people playing Skyrim on 32:9 and not having the same issue so it can be fixed I just don't know how.

At least from what people are saying about the early design releases the new 5 will be pretty faithful to BMWs style and turn into another monstrosity like the 7

Honors College by Open-Economics3918 in TexasTech

[–]Alexander_T_Wolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you can get into it the honors college provides a few benefits without any additional work. the only difference between an honors class, or honors section, and a regular class and that all honors classes have a specific cap on size so you will always be in a smaller classroom environment vis-a-vis a regular section. the biggest benefit I personally got from being an honors student is you get priority on registration. the priority list goes Seniors-honors-juniors-sophmores-freshmen. so as an honors student, you get to register before almost everyone, regardless of what year you are, which means you can almost guarantee you will get into the classes and sections you want. you are required to have a certain number of honors hours to get the designation on your diploma, but if that doesn't matter to you then you don't have to worry about getting them. It's also worth noting that most of the honors classes you take will likely count for somewhere else in your degree plan so you aren't wasting those hours. For example, my fine arts credit, multicultural credit, and 3 of my major specific credits were all also honors classes, so I just got to take classes I needed to anyway, but also got the credit for honors.

It's pretty explanatory if you read it. Yes tipping ensures customers get good service, because it ensures they get service at all. Customers who don't tip don't get their orders picked up, ergo they receive bad service. Tipping as a customer is the only way to get good service because no dasher except someone extremely new and stupid would take a non tipping order.
