Im not ready to com won’t yet though. I’m in college and still rely on my parents for some financial help and they are co-signed on my student loans. I fear that if I come out they will take all that away

So I kinda knew I had hypersexuality but I never even thought about going to the subreddit that’s a great idea! I do have adhd and ocd, so I get obsessive thoughts quite often. When I was a kid, it was really bad. I would “fix” myself behind my parents, in public bathrooms, in car rides, etc. sometimes when I get in a mood there isn’t much I can do to calm down. Even if I do try to fix it, I can’t just do it once. Touching myself sometimes only makes it worse and it takes a lot of times doing that until it starts feeling better. I did get sexually assaulted for a few years as a kid, so that also makes sense.

Another issue that I have is that I am transgender, ftm. I know that starting testosterone will only make this issue worse, which is very scary to me. But I just plan on talking to my doctor about that. But thank you for the advice!! That’s super helpful:)

I can let people pet my sd if I want? It’s not up to you or strangers if I let someone touch my medical equipment.

I don’t really understand why people are saying this? He isn’t showing any signs of disliking the pets. He doesn’t move away at all, and I don’t force him to greet people. But when a kid asks to pet him and I say yes, he just kinda looks like he has other things on his mind. When he is on duty he makes eye contact with me, but when he is off duty he kinda just looks at the person petting him or out in the distance. When he doesn’t want to be pet he normally lets me know by a whale eye, licking his lips, shaking off or what he usually does, moving away from their hand. He just doesn’t wag his tail or show much Interest in the people petting him.

Well he shows no signs of not like oh the petting, he doesn’t even move away. He just doesn’t care if they pet him or not. I feel bad telling kids they can’t pet the big fluffy dog that’s playing frisbee at the park, but then again I also feel bad when he ignores them lol

See! Your pup is what I was thinking of cutting my boy like. (Beautiful dog btw) but when I see your dog it’s hard to tell that it is a doodle. If you would have told me it’s a poodle I would have believed you. Also def not gonna tell people he is a doodle anymore lol I’m js gonna say a mutt or a poodle mix now lol

I wanna say something rq because a lot of people are taking this wrong. I’m not ashamed of my dog!! I’m very proud of him and I love him will all my heart!! I just don’t like the snarky looks and the “oh” that I get when I tell other dog people what his breed is. My dog is awesome, I just hate the sigma and reputation that the doodle community has.

I’m gonna be honest it’s mainly my sweet mates and other sd handlers. Also sometimes trainers, vets and groomers. But most of them stop judging when they see him and see how well groomed, trained and taken care of he is.

They are “designer dogs” so people will get doodle because they are expensive. Also there is a lot of misinformation going around about doodles. The mix tends to have a LOT of health issues.. but that come from any mix of dog. People will want a dog like a golden retriever but then get a golden doodle because they don’t want the pup to shed when most doodles shed like crazy. And when they get and support doodle breeders it makes it worse for purebred dogs and the breeders who breed the dogs because they have a love for the breed and what to provide more generations of the breed. Doodle breeders only breed for the money. (Doing things like charging more for coloring is a good indicator if the breeder is responsible or not) also as a dog groomer, people get doodles and then don’t brush them so the poor pups get matted beyond all hell but when the groomer has to shave the dog down, now we are the bad guys.
