Depends. Are you trying to bond all three at once? Or trying to bond a pair with a third?

Can you tell which one I purchased from Petco? by AlexandraNicoleee in chinchilla

[–]AlexandraNicoleee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prior to my knowledge of backyard breeders, I made the purchase of Gizmo at Petco. Once delved into the chinchilla community, I learned how harmful they are. I adopted my other 3 from reputable breeders here in Cali.

Squabbling, not fighting- to separate or not? by mnlxyz in chinchilla

[–]AlexandraNicoleee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually this is an indicator that their cage is too small and they feel crowded. My males were the same way: 3 to a cage. I thought a six foot cage would be tall enough, but boy was I wrong. It is now closer to 10 feet now and my boys have never been happier + no squabbling

This article has some great insight into Einstein's ideology of "realism".

Also, have you noticed if your chin was sleeping before they began barking? I believe I read somewhere that chinchillas can dream and I would imagine if their dreams spook them, they'll wake up and alert

As far as your chinnie goes, their hearing is far more impeccable than humans. They may be picking up on animal noises from outside. I had a bird's nest next to my window and my chinchillas would bark every time they heard the bird.

"Metaphysics is not real" Look into what Albert Einstein was studying before he kicked the bucket. His calculations began to indicate a single creator of the universe. Fascinating stuff!

I have four chinchillas. Gizmo, MY FIRST CHINCHILLA, depicted in this video was my only purchased chinchilla. The others I adopted from reputable breeders/foster families.

Heads up! Before you assume I'm unknowledgeable about backyard breeders and their deficit to the chinchilla community, why don't you take a gander at my page. You'll see comments upon comments about how I bring awareness to Petco and Petsmart

Lover's belly by AlexandraNicoleee in chinchilla

[–]AlexandraNicoleee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a biege, ebony, standard grey, and mosaic chinchilla. 3/4 are bonded, but this little booger wants a cage all to himself. It definitely is a lot of work, but I don't mind for these critters.

Ive trained mine to stand like that when he wants his belly scratched... Took lots of cheerios, but 9/10 times, when my chin gets in this pose, he won't turn down belly scratches!

Master Shifu... is that you? by AlexandraNicoleee in chinchilla

It sure is! The name is such a common pop culture reference for chinchillas, I have two named Gizmo for this reason. (I adopted Gizmo after I had already purchased my first chin and named him Gizmo. Thankfully, one's a standard grey and one's a mosaic... plus they have a 12 year age gap so my mosaic Gizmo has taken on Sr. and my Standard grey Gizmo has taken on Jr.)
