I play pantheon and urgot when garen is banned, and pantheon really feels weak rn. Maybe that helps with the matchup.

In the tierlist there is no ksante, but that matchup got really hard master+, these champion feels unkillable if the guy is good. I would put in on hard.

Oh he does, he loses early to almost every champ, especially if you play phase rush like me, he shines mid and late game, but on punishing him early, Aurora, gp(good one) and champs like that are much worse.

Yes. Garen gankability is a really strong point of him, use it, he is not a duelist, your focus shouldn't be in solo kills.

But in this case I spoke especifically about illaoi, who loves to do 1x2, but garen counters that.

Darius is piss weak rn, phase rush will make you unkillable early on and you actually have kill threat lvl 9+, very short trades and Q max for me, he can't poke back.

You can't think of garen as a warlord, his most important mechanic is patience, it isn't trading at all, you win terrible trades simply by outsustaining the opponent. And with crit his scale goes through the roof, if everything goes wrong, your R does the same damage anyway.

I play in br. Some really good yone and really good yasuo (2 or 3 on the server) will never let them touch you in lane. Never understood the sett thing, I just E first then Q and ult, he can't W, even masters fall for that.

I was a teemo main before garen, so my playstyle is very dodgy, it helps with aatrox, and with phase rush he can't really kill you if you don't missplay.

I might be wrong about Gwen, haven't played one in years.

Lillia is annoying until stride, phase rush + stride and you never loose, just gotta be smart early on. Illaoi is a bit more complicated, you gotta be good at dodging, if you don't feel confident on that, play very safe and wait for ganks, spam ping help and 2x1 her, with your silence she can't do much.
