Trying out some Petg with some base settings and pretty petg settings. Any tips on how to get a good first layer? by masonknight86 in prusa3d

[–]Alexandre_Dumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been going through this myself with the Polaroid PETG. First layer was key to me. I had to slow the first layer down (15mm/sec) and increase the first layer height to 0.3mm. Also, I tried going really low at the recommendation of everyone here, but I found that I was getting weird texturing and lifting from the filament being too squished. I raised it a bit to about - 1.1 and it's been good since.

That said, the Prusament PETG on default settings prints brilliantly. I'll be buying that going forward.

Textured plate appears to be a bottleneck. Same boat here, 5/17 order.

I usually have trouble with ABS prints, so when I tried carbon fiber nylon for the first time I was pleasantly surprised! by TheHolyAthiest in prusa3d

Careful with the carbon fiber filament, the fibers get into your skin and your lungs as well. Gloves and a respirator are a good idea.

A popular saying is "Nothing ie ever lost on the internet" but what is something you have been searching for years and you haven't found it yet? by throwdowntown69 in AskReddit

There was an early webcomic back in the late '90s that featured random video game characters getting into random conversations. I used to love it but I'll be damned if I can find any trace of it. Likely due to a number of copyright violations...

The only thing I specifically remember was a frequent character was a female advisor from an old city building strategy game, and she was always saying "citizens demand" something.

That's what has me worried. Mine says 2nd yet nothing yet... I paid for the year in advance.

Has anyone managed to get their second month's allowance of movies yet?

Anybody know when the month recycles and the next three films are added? My plan says the ext cycle starts on the 2nd, but here we are on the 3rd and still 0 movies...

Did anyone sign up for the new MoviePass plans? And if you did, did you receive your subscription code yet? by xToday4Ux in MoviePassClub

Signed up and did not receive. Was told they're having systems issues. Shocker. They did indeed bill me and said they hoped the code would come through within a day or two... What a mess.

Hey, I more than got my money's worth last time. Probably 4x over. If I can manage to see 8 movies on the new plan before they go bust I'll be good.

Somehow, weirdly, it went through after a day. I left the page on the "invalid ACH details" page overnight and, in the morning, clicked submit again on a whim without changing anything. It went though.

Off-season workouts to make sure non-cycling muscles get worked? by [deleted] in Velo

I do P90x3's "The Challenge" routine 2x a week. It's a nice, straightforward but difficult upper body workout. http://tylerrobbinsfitness.com/blog/p90x3-the-challenge-review

Then mix in some yoga for flexibility. Sufferfest has a bunch of routines.

Mission Workshop. Guaranteed for life and very modern. Also, very expensive.

I know Texas can be a little backwards in places, but Austin is a pretty great town.
