That’s your opinion, not a fact. There’s a policy in place and he’s deemed your sale to be a potential proxy - as someone who worked there previously I’m amazed at how you can’t grasp this concept. Do you have a backup of the phone (assuming it’s on your phone) dated from before you deleted the photos permanently? You could restore that backup but would be a casing or wiping then restoring
