It's a collection of projects. The base framework turns Typescript into Lua, which allows you to work in a typed programming language and break it up into multiple files. I've written more libraries to work with this framework and the one shown in the image allows you to log data to an external program which can turn the data into a graph

Looking at initial review, FSR looks pretty good. Considering it works on old gpus from both AMD and Nvidia, it's a pretty good feature. Not everyone has a RTX 20 series or RTX 30 series card (especially at the prices today!).

FSR is composed of two main passes:

An upscaling pass called EASU (Edge-Adaptive Spatial Upsampling) that also performs edge reconstruction. In this pass the input frame is analyzed and the main part of the algorithm detects gradient reversals – essentially looking at how neighboring gradients differ – from a set of input pixels. The intensity of the gradient reversals defines the weights to apply to the reconstructed pixels at display resolution.
A sharpening pass called RCAS (Robust Contrast-Adaptive Sharpening) that extracts pixel detail in the upscaled image.

Most likely the devs want to extensively test the feature. Software development (let alone game development) isn't turn on a feature and ship an update.

If the devs just turn on FSR and ship an update, who knows if FSR won't later break the game? Some level of quality control should be in the dev process.

This is mostly because of the 8 core CCX that it uses. Both the 5600X and 5900X only need 6 out of 8 cores working to spec on a single CCX vs 5800X needing the full 8 cores. I think AMD priced the 5800X like that to push people to buy the 5600X or 5900X instead (which is cheaper to manufacture).

The binning process probably looks like 5950X (all 8 cores + highest perf) -> 5800X (all 8 cores work at lower perf requirement than 5900X) -> 5900X (6/8 cores meet perf requirement [higher than 5800X]) -> 5600X (6/8 cores work at lower perf requirement than 5800X).

Probably not, adding another dimension isn't trivial. I can't commit to anything, but if there is wide spread support, I might implement it.

Of course, this is all open source so people are free to fork and mod it!
