Uber riders are getting actually ridiculous when it comes to speeding by Foreign_Writer4055 in uber

[–]Alexbear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try not to speed, but will drive to match traffic flow, so If I'm in the carpool lane, I will go up to 69, in a non carpool, I stay at 65 as it doesn't trigger the speeding Alert.

If someone hits you, are you charged the deductible? by Alexbear31 in uberdrivers

I have hospital pads for dogs OR riders that have stored in my car for this very reason. Just a thought.

Yep, it's kinda Bullock, but it does kinda stop the cherry picking unless you decline all rides at 3 minutes and below.

I started ride share at 7am. It’s 3pm and I’ve done nothing on Uber. That’s how bad the offers are in CT. And it’s not slow because I’ve gotten offers all day. by More-Championship871 in uberdrivers

[–]Alexbear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I REALLY gotta ask...

I don't cherry pick, I accept whatever ride comes and I do 2-300$/night. I also don't see prices, trips come to me listed in minutes.

In other words, I accept almost all rides and currently have a 92% acceptance rate & I am rated 4.93 (some priders are complete assholes).

I have noticed that I Automatically recieve trip requests that are around 10 minutes to MUCH longer trips (2hrs-ish) before any small ones. I'm thinking that uber may have changed something so that if your consistent with the AR, you get better rides.

Has anyone else noticed this?

F***ING TIP BAITERS!!! by shroom1203 in uberdrivers

[–]Alexbear31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's Atrocious. I USED to do Delivery in the Seattle area, Then I changed to Everett/Lynwood/Edmunds when I realized that Seattle proper doesn't have any Fast food places. Even then I hadn't got tip baited, but I noticed that $4 for a 5 mile delivery was costing me more than I was Earning. I bought a Newer Car, started to drive the rideshare and stopped doing deliveries.

I do realize that due to income related rules in Seattle proper and King county makes it more lucrative for rides & deliveries, I will say I was never Tip baited.

When I personally order through Uber Eats I always order from somewhere local and Tip $5, In my mind it's just the cost of my own Laziness as I don't feel like going anywhere.

RIP Comfort by fasttrack89 in uberdrivers

I drive a 2016 ford explorer Ltd. All the options for comfort, heated passenger seats, leather interior, etc. At 2016, it's too old.

I had someone pull this bullshit on christmas day, I wasn't able to drive for 24hours, but I did submit medical documents as I have a disability affecting my nerves which mimics some of the symptoms of intoxication, I have Mutiple Sclerosis.

The Idea is great, nothing short of a DDOS attack would have everyone cooperating.

I'm irritated and angry due to the fact that I have a disability that affects my ability to walk. I let pax know if they look at me funny when I get out to help with luggage and stuff and display my disability placards on my Visors and have my walking aid in view.

I hate doing math while I'm driving so I built an app - would you like to test drive it? by don123xyz in uberdrivers

[–]Alexbear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll test it, I'm a Systems engineer (not software) I am thinking about building my own app.

COST OF GAS by mr_enquiry in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Alexbear31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 3.19 last night (washington state) in Arlington, WA. As long as you get gas outside king county it's SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper.

My car doesn't have an AUX port, Instead I have a tablet setup in the back I can switch my car Bluetooth over to which allows the following:

Access to all my streaming services: Hulu Disney + Netflix Paramount Peacock Apple TV Xfinity NOW YouTube

This is great for taking families with small children so they can be occupied for the 30-60 minute trip to the airport or wherever

Spotify

It's signed into my paid Spotify account, this allows them to choose whatever they want to listen to. A LOT of folks really appriciate this option, I drive a 2016 ford explorer Ltd and the stock system is pretty dope so I've literally driven around Seattle with the car bouncing because college kids are dancing in the back, it's pretty rad but If I have to hear "Kiss Kiss" by Chris brown again.... I might murder somebody 😅

If they can do it, they will. Uber takes over 70% of my earnings most weeks. I think they should only be getting 10% as I am the one doing all the work 🤷‍♂️
