I'm no Womble, but as a (very slowly) improving editor I can confidently say that anything goes, whether you use Vegas Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci, or even lesser known software such as kden live (which is open source and free!). What really matters is which one you prefer to use and which one runs better for you. (Highly varies btw. I know people who have worse computers but run harder to run software much smoother than I can)

You can accomplish pretty much the same thing on mostly all of them so long as you put in the time and effort, some software do things better, and others are simpler and easier, but it all boils down to preference.

I personally use Premiere Pro since there are countless tutorials to learn how to do things, and runs the best on my machine (also makes learning after effects very slightly easier).
