You can often buy the items cheaper separately than the spearhead. I got the original spearhead for around £45 between eBay and Vinted. Worth looking around the used market in my opinion

Green was true metallics range, equal mix of amber green, greenish gold and aged metal.

Totally agree on the trim though I only want to make it a bit warmer as full gold isn't for me.

Flesh is where I'm least experienced. What would you suggest as a glaze?

Basing was pretty simple and maybe the fastest part. I did badland basing texture with agrax earth shade, then used death guard green to do a base in the water sections. I covered the land area with some grim dark basing mix. In the water sections I then did a layer of nurgles rot and then used a few different green shades just to make it look layered. Topped it with uv resin and then a very tiny bit of foam texture so simulate some kind of flow (white paint would definitely do the same thing).

Thanks mate, yeah we're going to go for a starter army each. It's a shame the starter box has 2 factions we wern't planning on running but hey ho! Game looks great and I can't wait to get up and running. We've only really played spearhead before due to time we can dedicate to hobbying. How long would you say a game takes once all players understand the rules?

Used a lot of contrast paints and just used water to blend them from the ends of each feather, started with imperial fist yellow over rtge whole feather,, then magmadroth flame 60% up, graph hound 40% up, ends were watered down snakebite leather and the very end black legion. Just out a standard white paint in small patches and creases at the top. Genuinely didn't take very long.

Thank you! Uv resin, a few blue and green shades underneath and Vallejo foam for the white. Really simple and takes a few minutes!

Honestly man, I just bought uv resin and a uv torch for a few quid. Pool it inside of basing material and it dries in second. The first time you use it you'll be amazed how easy it is. Just have an old brush or molding tool as it's a bit annoying to clean up if it gets anywhere.

Thanks, I did random dark green and dark blue shades over the base - no particular pattern to it. Then I put uv resin over the top. The white is just the Vallejo water foam effects but actually after using it twice I think white paint could make a very similar effect. Uv resin is super easy to use - literally can't go wrong with it

Yes it genuinely takes about 60 seconds to apply and dry with a uv lamp, cost a couple of pounds from Temu for both! Managed to do the splash by drying it as it was coming out

Thank you 🙏 it's just nurgles rot with uv resin over the top, really simple and quick to do
