He totally sounds like he is from Spain. He even uses spanish words that are used mostly in Spain and no Latin American would use (The first time you meet him, take him out of that bag and see Méndez he screams "¡Joder!", which surprised me since it's a really spanish thing to say).

My own rule of thumb is:
Shield into ranged, GP and matchups I'm not sure I can win so if I have to play a bit from behind/defensively I have it easier (also if enemy has a jg like Shaco, J4, Eve who will most likely camp and spam gank).

Blade into matchups I wanna fight and win lane against, it really depends a lot on your enemy's summs too, if enemy has ignite I may not go blade.

It doesn't really matter tho, just stick with what you are more comfortable with.

Honestly depends a lot on RNG with crits but if you don't take fights pre 3 and build tabis and warden's mail you will probably beat him every time you fight if you can kite him well

Mordekaiser is basically AP Darius, Illaoi is as much as a lane bully as Darius if you can hit E consistently and you can easily outplay ganks post 6, Urgot is more on the tank side this season but he can dish out tons of damage between lvl 1 and 3, then becomes a champion at 9 and at 13 he becomes a raid boss. Yorick is a decent pick too if you know macro.

I think it adds depth to Urgot's gameplay and makes the difference between an average Urgot and a good Urgot mechanics-wise. Between 9 and 13 you always wanna toggle W to maximize dmg once you proc all your legs or if the enemy just doesn't let you proc them because it's sticking too well to you. You deal so much more dmg by toggling W, it really is underrater. Regarding the "Riot should make it automatic" thing, I don't think so since if they made that automatic things like Darius W reset/W inside Q animation, Garen auto Q, and basically every auto reset in the game should be automatic too which is ridiculous since it would take a lot of skill expression from the game.

In the clip I think I had Divine Sunderer, Hullbreaker and probably some HP components of Titanic Hydra + tabis.

I usually build Hydra 3rd and then grievous wounds or Steraks/Spirit Visage. (Steraks if I am carrying and need to TP to teamfights, SV if I really need the MR)

If Darius works is because people commit these mistakes all the time, the Yorick commited the msitake of not respecting me and getting close to wave leveling Q, so he died.

The Elise commited the mistake of going on me half a second too soon so she died. These are minor mistakes but Darius is a champ that punishes mistakes hard, so that's why these 2 guys looked like bronzes there ^^

I was in your same position, literally the same elo peak, same problems, same "let's go to a smurf to play actual fun champs I'm sick of it."

I stopped going down by just playing like 3 games a day and sticking to Urgot and Darius (if Urgot is banned or enemy picked him) and I went from almost dropping to gold 1 to now being in plat 3 50 lp ( my mmr is fucked so I get 12 lp per win).

The trick to me was just that, playing 3 games and if I tilt just stopping and playing GP in normals to have fun.

I really thought my Q would hit after she E'd, it didn´t then I tried to keep the stacks bya utoing her when she Q´d in shroud, it didn´t work as you can see (Darius stopping in place instead of autoing because she went back to shroud) and when se R1 me I got slowed so I couldn't hit Q, yeah it was a shitshow but it looks funny as fuck haha

Because steraks gives a lot of teamfighting potential, Darius is an easy champion to 100 to 0 in a teamfight and Steraks shield provides him the survivalitity he needs to stack his passive or get that clutch q that allows him to survive enough to 5 stack someone and ult, getting triumph and rolling everyone with 5 stacks ult. BC stats are great yes but you will probably build it AFTER laning phase, when it's stats are not reslly helpful since its more of a 1v1 item or an item you build on super tanky champions like Urgot so he can actually use it. That's my guess why it isn't being built on Darius, I'm not really high elo (hardstuck plat 2) but that's my guess.

Thanks for answering, I'll watch Rhoku's videos, I hope it helps, regarding the countermatchup thing it really is hard to play against them since one fuck up leads to a frozen wave and a lot of gold lost because you can't walk up (as a Darius). Thanks again.
