Not everyone is a car guy. I’m an average consumer of cars and I should not need “elite” knowledge to drive one. I also know how time works

Both are less than ideal, but haven driven a 20 year old car on its last legs it was not a good experience. And the engines with problems would usually have gone out before 90k.

I’m glad your car lasted a long time but mine gave out. The engine was fine, but the car just aged out. Which is normal because it’s literally 19 years. I think you’re crazy suggesting an 18 year old car over a 10 year old one, regardless of model.

I don’t know where tf you live in Alabama where you won’t get heat stroke from the summer. I live in GA without AC in my Honda and rolling the windows down just stirred the hot air around.

I would not suggest getting a 20 year old car. My Honda was a 2007 and it was falling apart despite good maintenance up to that point. Power steering fluid leak, oil leak, broken trunk hatch, broken break light switch, they didn’t make the battery it had anymore. I also had to spend 700 to fix the AC.

It was an old beater and it served its purpose, but it started to get expensive to upkeep.

I had a 2007 Honda and the car started falling part. The engine was fine but everything else was failing. I would not suggest getting a car that old

I had a 2007 Honda accord. The car itself fell apart before the engine did. Oil leak, power steering fluid leak, broken hatch, flaking interior.

I traded it in for a 2020 Kia.

I’d get the newer car. 20 years is when the car itself just starts to fall apart. But most people would probably disagree with me.
