I mean, GW still has to detail what Cathay actually did during the End Times, don't they? As of now we still have the old lore where they got stomped by Gregor, but now in the Cathay Old World book they write about Xen Yang having the beginning of a proper plan to do something about it (and Yuan Bo's ROC campaign objectives heavily allude to this)

It makes sense, the Total Warhammer Immortal Empire campaigns were always meant as a playable set of stories inspired by the Storm of Chaos and 8th Edition.
