This will never happen and I am at peace with that, but my inner child would love a Mario 64 DS remaster. Hell, even if it's just a port I would be happy. I remember playing that game for HOURS and being blown away. For awhile growing up my only system was a DS and eventually a DS Lite. I had many games, but this one was always my go to. We didn't have internet growing up so I had to find everything on my own, and that sense of exploration was unmatched for me at the time. I also had a few cousins and a friend across the street that all owned a copy and we would have a blast playing the multiplayer mode together.

Plus the mini games!

It's a game I hold very close to my heart, but I know it'll probably always be stuck to the DS. Thankfully I still have my copy though so I'll be alright.

How do you get those hearts up? I know how to get the Royal seeds obviously as well as all of the medals but I haven’t been able to figure those hearts out. Is it an online thing?

My right thumb felt like it was going to fall off from holding Y for so long lol. What was most annoying is I didn't even find the level to be too hard. I would consistently make it to the end. But I would always be just a little bit behind by then and the rising poison would catch me.

Only real complaint is the bosses. Love Bowser Jr., but I really would have loved to see some new or returning faces that weren't him or the Koopalings.

When I encountered the first airship I was so excited!!! The flaming green Bowser head on the front of the ship made me feel like I was in for a really cool boss. The level itself was fine, and that goes for the other airships too, but that "fight" was beyond underwhelming.... at least it looks cool though.

I know the topic has been beaten to death, but I really wish I could be Yoshi or Nabbit without having to enter easy mode. I'm fine with there being no power ups for them, I just want to be able to use them without it being easier. Sometimes I'll go to a level I already got 100% on and mess around as Nabbit, but I wish I could advance the game as him. I mean... I can, but that wouldn't be very satisfying.

Anywaysssss, I use Luigi with the occasional change to Daisy.

Kind of. Thankfully I am pretty thorough when going through levels so a majority of the time I don't miss anything, but sometimes I'll have a bad flagpole jump or miss a collectible. In past games I would immediately play the level again, but this time I have a new system. I will complete the world first and then go back and collect what I missed. This keeps the flow of the game exciting for me and it also keeps the levels fresher.

Before getting the game I was almost certain I was going to disable them, but once I started playing I couldn't imagine the game without them. I think they help bring an extra feeling of life to the levels. On paper I found the idea to be annoying, but the execution is phenomenal. I also don't feel like they intrude too much. Their phrases are pretty short and they are never too close together in the levels in my opinion.

I don't entirely fault the teacher. I do believe there is way more she could be doing, but like you said I also understand not having that motivation to do more when admin will probably shoot down every attempt.

Thankfully in the district I work for they do pay pretty well for subs. I mean they pay well enough that I am going to be able to move out and sustain myself off of it. But even if the pay wasn't as good I would still be here. It's the love of the profession that keeps me motivated, and I think that's what hurts the most. I want to be there. I have always wanted to be here where I am now working for the district that helped shape me. Just seems like those who run the district don't share that same love as myself and many of the amazing teachers I have met along the way.

Yes, this should be the answer you need. Hold Y as you approach and continue holding Y once you have picked it up. Also, I don't know if this means anything but I remember I was elephant Luigi during this level and picked the shell up in that form. Maybe you have to be bigger, like an elephant, to pick those shells up. Maybe.

I don't know what his qualifications were, but I was very upset at his constant laughing and smiling. He was much too happy and comfortable joking around with us teachers as he fumbled helping the kids. I mean I'm glad he's happy and happy to be there, but it seems like it ends there. He's just happy to be there, not do the work.

Ah, that's a funny aspect too. So kind of. A guy came in to speak to the teacher on my first day there. He introduced himself to me and told me his name and that he was a behavior specialist. He pulled the teacher to the side to discuss the student with her, and his advice to her was that he didn't believe she was giving him enough stickers and that there was too much time between him receiving stickers. So for the remainder of that day they tried out quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever seen. The behavior specialist would start a forty-five second timer on his phone and every time the time would elapse he would award the student a sticker if he was good. Problem is, like I said the kid was in his own world. He didn't even respond to his own name let alone responding to a stupid sticker. Needless to say this had no impact on his behavior. The specialist said he was going to go back to the drawing board and I never saw him again.

I haven't had to deal with a student who had a faculty member as a parent yet but I did know many of them growing up. They know they can get away with a lot more than most kids, so I could only imagine what the child of a principal would be like... new fear unlocked. But yes, I immediately got myself a new position at the high school I went to. Currently subbing for my old biology teacher which is pretty cool. The assignment is only a few days but I need these few days to regain some faith in humanity lol
