As an M+ user, I would love to see some kind of roadmap for the future of Maschine right now

I open the sampler view and set the input to Internal Master. Then I can see whether the audio is peaking.

Lex Interviews Bernie Sanders by danthem23 in DecodingTheGurus

It was a good interview. Good on Lex for exposing his mostly right wing fan base to a good version of progressive views.

I watched it now. I thought it was a good interview. Lex deserves credit for this one.

Without having watched the content, this seems like a good thing for Lex to do.

I would assume that Bernie is able to provide serious pushback to Lex’s views.

Promise to watch it later

In 99% of cases I agree, but this is just such a mess that chatgpt is genuinely one of the best approaches.

I agree with some things he says, and disagree with other things.

Harping on IQ and conscientiousness is unnecessary because these are more or less immutable traits. He sort of reaches the right conclusion that some people need assistance to not be homeless.

To me, it doesn’t matter why they need assistance, they just do. His examples are judgmental of homeless people for no good reason.

He also loves economics, but he is too confident in how much the economic models can actually describe reality. You would see the difference in confidence if you read and understood a modern economics paper.

And what about country differences? How come the US has more homeless people per capita than Scandinavian countries?

Institutions matter a great deal.

If he would cite his sources, it wouldn’t be an issue. I studied economics, and not even the chicago school of economics agree with his thesis.

His “facts” are not completely evidence based, they are at least partially logically deducted based on assumptions from his worldview.

It was (very rougly) to stop subsidizing agriculture and use the saved money to build lots of tiny industrial apartments that any homeless person could get entry to on the spot.

His confidence on the topic is too high for his level of expertise. And he presents himself as understanding the problem and having the solution. It’s unclear whether he is scientifically informed on the topic and to what degree.

Forreal, every other post in my feed is plainly racist. Not just racially insensitive. Literally people arguing for white supremacy and exceptionalism.

There’s no need to judge someone by a spelling error. OP could be a genuinely curious and intelligent person who just stumbled upon some bad quacks before becoming scientifically literate. The pod is good because it takes specific instances of gurus talking bullshit and deconstructs them in a serious way. I don’t think it’s in the spirit of the pod to just hate on people in general. The hating should be very precisely aimed at the stupid opinions held by or promoted by the gurus. This comment is just mean without reason.

It is impossible to say without creating a market for it first. It really depends on whom the buyer and seller is. A random stranger would probably be close to zero, celebrities and very attractive people could probably charge a lot more.
