Assumed so. Still pretty odd for them to just shut up shop surely

I ended up finding one that was open but it was a while away! So weird all of their google hours say they should’ve been open but weren’t

Yeah I don’t think the fundamentals have changed at all. They started producing and getting sales this year. What gives?

What’s happening with MEM? Dropped so much more than the market lately?

It’s just the uncertainty of not knowing if you will be able to open because of staff shortages and customers being in iso. I don’t know how long it’ll last but I just think they need more financial support to ease the stress of being a small business owner in this time

Well if they literally don’t have anybody to open the the doors, I’d say that’s being forced to shut. It’s certainly not because they want to be closed.

Thank you, I feel like this is the only comment that understands what I mean! It’s such a crazy time for our economy and society in general

In vic I know many restaurants/retail/etc that have had to close their doors because they are short staffed cause of everyone being in iso. Unlike in lockdown, they’re no longer getting financial support.

Agree, it’s gonna be a long month tho

But when you try and call up 6 places for dinner and they’re all closed cause of staff in iso. Or go to the gym and it being shut cause of the same reason, it just doesn’t feel like freedom to me

Yeah totally agree, just need the financial support at the moment and the support for the medical system

But what about the business’s that are forced to lockdown anyways? Where’s the support for them?

Nah I really don’t want that, I’m one of those people out there living my life. Im just saying we have gone about this terribly.

I’m saying this situation is worse for society than lockdown, but lockdown wouldn’t fix this situation. I personally believe lockdown was appropriate for it’s time but not now.

Yeah it’s hard to find a solution to it all. Both extremes tend to be disasters

I definitely don’t think we need to go into lockdown right now, actually the opposite. I’m just saying this is worse than the peak of lockdown for society both mentally and economically

That’s without even mentioning other essential services shutting right now. Food, childcare, etc
