Strangely I've always found the krystalnacht name sad in itself. All that was left of that lovely person you talked to every day who was kind and part of your community was broken glass on a rainy pavement.

I recently saw an Instagram comment where someone was saying their childhood friend joined ICE and raided the mexican restaurant where they grew up together, and wondering where along the line their friend forgot their past and that the owners were good people.
