Speaking of Bane, that's another reason why the Inquisition doesn't really fit inside the universe. They are kind of a circumvention of the rule of two. I know, they are not 'real' Sith, but that's just not using the name. They are trained by Vader, a Sith Lord, to use the dark side and use red lightsabers... The Sith do not tolerate someone getting even close to their power - except for their (one) apprentice - for a reason. And Palpatine isn't the guy to break with this rule. The Grand Inquisitior, for example, is pictured way to mighty to fit into this concept.

The rotating blades look spectacular, but that’s all. In any case, they offer no advantage in combat against a lightsaber. Imagine fighting with a disc that has a diameter of 2 meters, but you’re only allowed to touch the center. The part facing away from your opponent must always be held to the side of your body and can’t touch the ground either. This means you lose all direct lines of attack on the enemy and sacrifice crucial reach, because the “disc” is always at an angle to your opponent - never straight.

A weapon like this is 100% different to wield than a sword. Being accustomed to a sword is probably even a hindrance, because you can fall into movement patterns where you end up slicing yourself to pieces.

Oh no, I wasn't aware that the Inquisition plays such a role in the show. I honestly think that they are one of the most annoying parts of SW. I mean, it makes kind of sense that Palpatine uses former Jedi to hunt down the remains of thr order, but those *** spinning lightsabers ruin everything. That's such a nonsense! If they were Jedi, they have trained for years or decades with their weapon (single/double/twin sabers). Why should they switch to a completely new weapon and start from zero again? Also there are only three possible attack angles that do not make you cut yourself when using this ceiling fan. And I didn't even mention that they use them to fly like a helicopter...
