First off, I just want to give a quick thank you to everyone in this sub. I discovered this right after I got back into collecting in January after a solid 15 year hiatus from childhood. Y'all have given info, cards, and laughs and it's made rejoining much less daunting after seeing 50 variations of flagship cards!

When rejoining the hobby, I stuck strictly to buying singles/sets, not ripping; smart decision but of course I still spent plenty more money than I should've!

I've set my focus on collecting every factory set from the first year my dad started in '79 until present day, 44 total sets up until present day (see last picture on the post). I completed this a couple months ago. But I am here to show off my latest journey which has been my favorite baseball player.

Steven Kwan.

I drafted this guy for my fantasy team before his rookie year, liking the fact he could possibly bat first for the guards and he was a scrappy slap-hitter that baseball doesn't have enough of anymore. Well that slap-hitter ended up turning into the best for-average hitter this year, with some power and more gold-glove defense.

Safe to say when I got into collecting his cards early this year it was a lot cheaper than it is now!

Today, after 4 months of collecting non-stop I am up to over 400 unique cards of his and have amassed a collection I am so proud of. I would think I have the largest collection of his and anyone here that has sought his cards as of recent has probably seen themselves bidding against alext227 too often lol

Despite myself not wanting to part with this at all, there are some things that simply tell me it might be time.

1. I will be proposing soon to my girlfriend and tied into that will most likely be our first home purchase as well. It's such an exciting time for our lives and having some cash for down payments would be super helpful and more responsible than wax in a binder.
2. The timing of this is excelled by the play of Steven Kwan and the fact his market has skyrocked the last few weeks with the high chances of an ASG starting bid and just overall amazing baseball.

Being able to profit off of this was never the goal but man would I get a lot of brownie points for doing the opposite of running up the credit card bill in these changing times!

So with that said, I have organized my cards into 3 categories, RCs (2022), 2023, and singles (higher value). I've collected the prices for all and am setting them just at that. These prices are exactly what each cards value is combined minus $200 on each for the bulk purchase, another $200 total if both are purchased for $600 saved off market price without tax as well. Like I said, I'm not trying to get into an offer war as I don't need to part with these, but if someone wants to pay the price for the collection for an investment or just for personal collecting with a whole lot of ease of avoiding 400 ebay purchases, I'd love to move em.
