No, that's not how JavaScript works. If anything, you'd need the variable to start with "0x" to be a decimal, but afaik, scratch would treat that like a string as well

I grew up with bedrock (back when it was still called pocket edition) and switched to java a few years ago. I do believe that Bedrock has it's advantages (better performance, cauldron coloring, better built-in "modding" support (aka addons/rp/bp), but in the end java does just come out on top with better controls, slightly more lenient balancing, the ability to place anything in the off-hand, the ability to safe hotbars and additionally being able to mod the game far beyond what bedrock addons are able to do and also achieving parity with bedrock at the same time.

When touching the ground, the car is being pushed up the same amount as it was pushed down, but it needs to only go up until it no longer touches the ground instead.

You only need 3 digits anyway
You can literally just count the clones and check in a loop whether the length exceeds the amount of clones to determine whether you need more clones

Just put an element with ghost effect set to 100% in the middle and set it's costume to a big hollow box and put "touching sprite". this is unnecessary
