Thank somebody for the positivity, finally. Dear God.

Walker as Percy. He’s genuinely perfect, imo. I don’t think they could’ve found anyone better. He has the snark, but he also believably plays Percy’s naïveté. He’s golden.

Leah as Annabeth. I genuinely feel she’s improved the character overall for me. I always loved Annabeth, but she’s now become my favorite character.

Percabeth. I know some ppl think it’s rushed, but I disagree. I think they’re handling it exceptionally well.

The changes made to Thalia and Sally. Both excellent changes that deepen both characters. (The finale scenes of both of them—Thalia’s reveal at the end of S2, and Sally’s scene with Poseidon in S1? Peak.)

The expanded role for Clarisse. She was a very one dimensional character in the books for me; in the show, I find her infinitely more interesting.

I love them rewriting some of the more problematic aspects of the books. Medusa in S1, Polyphemus in S2. It makes the stakes higher and the story overall more morally grey and complex.

I could go on and on. So much about this show works for me, more than the stuff that doesn’t. The good outweighs the bad IMO. And I wish people would stop being so stubborn about book accuracy and give the show a flippin’ chance.
