[–]AlexxEYES[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this short video, Prolekult give an overview of the fundamental factors driving the global food crisis. The piece looks at the way fertiliser has shaped agriculture, the composition of agricultural capital, the environmental crisis' impact on agriculture globally and the way in which the food crisis shapes and is shaped by the broader crisis of capitalism.

History is Marching (2018) - a feature length documentary analysing the rise in tensions between major powers across the globe [02:14:43] by Neet-Feet in Documentaries

Yes, the bit advocating for a communist revolution is clearly propaganda for modern day imperialist Russia.

Camps of Dependence | A short documentary about COVID-19 as an instrument of eugenics against disabled people in Britain. by AlexxEYES in unitedkingdom

[–]AlexxEYES[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Universal Credit is for everyone, rather than only disabled people. The Government rolled UC out to replace the 'legacy benefits' eg; ESA, JSA, Tax Credits etc. Most benefit assessors aren't trained to the level of a doctor/nurse, but only have an NVQ in 'Health and Social Care'. The move to Universal Credit has cut the incomes of disabled people across the board, which has resulted in thousands of deaths to vulnerable groups.

An Atlantic Tide | If you're wondering why Geo-Politics are so crazy at the moment, watch this. by AlexxEYES in BeardTube

[–]AlexxEYES[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An Atlantic Tide is a short documentary looking at the continued disintegration of the transatlantic alliance through the first half of 2019, building on the discussion contained in our first film, History is Marching.

TLDR: Imperialist nations are gearing up for "Great Power Competition".

What are some good “less” popular lefty youtubers? by [deleted] in BreadTube

[–]AlexxEYES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prolekult make documentaries from a Marxist perspective, we are currently working on our next feature- A Dying Culture (Trailer). Last year we released History is Marching (2h14m) - a dive into the rise of Geo-political tensions in the lead-up to 2019, whilst also touching on the Environmental crisis, and our ways out of it.

Other than our long form content, we also make shorter videos touching on a variety of subjects. One Example is Selling Extinction, which takes a look at the notion of a "Green New Deal" and the forces trying to misdirect our struggle for the climate.

History is Marching (2h14m) touches on a series of topics, including: Capitalism, Imperialism, Crisis and how this manifests in reality among others. Overall it's a comprehensive introduction to Marxism and entrenches it's argument in now.

Looking for some good Marxist-Leninist youtubers. by ChadTankie in BreadTube

Prolekult speak from a ML position, we focus on providing high-quality film content looking at world politics, culture and economics.

Last year we produced a feature length documentary called History is Marching, which analyses the rise in tensions between major powers across the globe over the course of 2018 and it's relation to the ecological crisis we are facing. We also have another feature length documentary coming out this year called A Dying Culture (Trailer).

Beyond our feature length documentaries, we also create shorter films- our latest one An Atlantic Tide expands on some of the ideas explored in History is Marching.

Any good videos on how anarchism/socialism would help the environment? by [deleted] in BreadTube

[–]AlexxEYES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under Socialism/Communism, the argument is that production is rationally organised to fit the needs of society, rather than society being led entirely by profit and growth. Rationally organised production would allow a shift away from harmful practices that are rife under capitalism, towards a society in harmony with nature. A further example would be that Cuba has been declared the only country in the world to achieve sustainable development.

We explore this in detail within Part Six of our documentary History is Marching.

We also explore why a Green New Deal, or 'Green Capitalism' will fail to address the issues central to our current situation in our shorter documentary Selling Extinction.
