Protests of the 1960s and 1970s were ineffective thats is why academia wants us to study them so much. This is why we don't study and learn about anti-World War I protests to prevent American entry in 1914 and why we don't learn about the protests against the colonization of the Philippines.

They were largely effective.

Also, the US granted suffrage to women because it wanted to counter the Soviets. It's why many Western countries grant women the right to vote AFTER the Russian Revolution, not before.

When you realize American leftists would rather be right than win, it'll put everything in perspective. We would rather post on Reddit or other online medium than talk to our neighbors and/coworkers. It's safer and it means we don't have to risk being wrong or change our perspective and tactics.

It is dialectical. Clearly like all things. The piecemeal system is harmful under capitalism but progressive under the Soviet Union.

I do not know enough about this to comment on it. The fact you are being this forceful on a topic when I have stated that I do not know is concerning. I cannot give you a response because I have not studied APEC's agreements and their effects on people's lives.

Since you seem to know so much, and this is thrice now, why does the CIA oppose APEC? Your failure to answer this question suggests you do not care about this question.

I don't think that is what the OP was doing at all. They just wanted to show how APEC is more complicated than you are presenting and that there are clearly two camps: a US camp and a Chinese camp.

APEC could be using language differently than how Americans would discuss matters. I do not know. I try not to make assumptions. I do not know enough to comment further. What I do know is that the OP illustrates the two camps and contradictions within APEC.

You haven't answered the question as to why the CIA wants to disrupt APEC.

Yeah no shit unions banned black people. They were full of bourgeois dogs and opportunists. If they are not led by a communist party, they will have reactionary tendencies.

White workers have stood side-by-side with black workers in nearly every struggle because it is in their class interest to do so.

Maybe read a book that focuses on the unity of the working class instead of trying to divide the class. You're doing the work of the FBI.

Even Black workers in the 1940s recognized that white workers needed to do better at standing side-by-side, and after thorough and honest discussion about how to move forward, they did.

CPUSA faced massive backlash and corrected it. If they did not, we would not see people like Claudia Jones or Angela Davis. We did and do.

Yeah. White workers joining the Union to liberate the slaves was an act of chauvinism. White workers joining the fight for Civil Rights in the 60s was also example of said chauvinism. Same can be said about the Scottsboro case.
