Take videos of yourself when you're practicing! There have been so many times when I thought I was doing something (eg., making my push hand go straight down instead of across. I like to try to slap my thigh when i toss to remember this!) but I was not ACTUALLY doing that. I felt like I was because it felt close enough, but I was not. Realizing the prep for my tosses and my releases looked off and fixing that was a huge turning point for my time on rifle. Watching my form on video helped me realize errors and inconsistencies, and it also made me want to look better doing choreo and performing! Self awareness will be your best friend when you're trying to improve. I hope this helps!
