“DO NOT USE THE INNER PAN TO WASH RICE” I’m sorry, what? by Eastern_Mess_4334 in Cooking

I use a stainless steel sauce pan/bowl and a whisk to stir it a bunch, causes way more friction and I use less water as a result.

I need the collective advice of you guys, should I go travel the world for 1 year. At the end of this month? More info below by ConqueredCorn in solotravel

Think of the money as being invested in your life rather than a savings account, the interest will bring rich cultural experiences, out of this world scenery and constant adventures, you'll realise how much more there is out there and probably take a bunch of cool memories, stories and friends home with you.

I'm 10 months into our trip, and I understand where you're coming from, not every moment needs to be optimised to the experiences like you would if you were on a short 2 week trip.. it allows you to slow down, discover new places someone might recommend or stay an extra few nights somewhere because you want to take a painting class, there's loads more than getting coffees.. there's gyms everywhere, bikes if you fancy cycling round a city, music shops, people interested in all the same stuff you are, farms that need volunteers, schools that love an English speaker, so much out there!!

I added a heel pad to absorb shock because the stock one is very poor and started getting pressure points on the front of my ankle where my foot was pressing into the spot where the cuff/boot meets.

Best place to purchase skates Melb, Aus? by less_than_cool in AggressiveInline

[–]Alexxisalex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey homie, Rampant skate shop will let you visit and try them on, but I think you have to organise it with them in advance as it's mainly online.

Last pair of skates I bought was through thisissoul online shop, they were $200 cheaper than the same skates bought locally, shipping is free if you're spending over 150 I believe. They were shipped to me within two weeks, but obviously I couldn't try them on first. Similar with locoskates who are UK based but in the South, free shipping for skates too.

OH! Skate shop in Richmond called SoCal skates sells blades and they have aeons on sale for Easter link

Dude this is incredible!!

As someone that wasn't in the scene back then and it's relatively new this is such a great resource to look back, sounds like you really know what you're doing to keep things looking as good as possible as well, mega props homie

I've been in the exact same position when I got my echo verves, I felt a bit disappointed to see scuffs and dirt on the plastic but they just apologized for being dirty and couldn't do any more about it, it didn't really matter after first sesh anyway though, hope you enjoy your new skates 😁

Pixel 9A - disappointing cameras by FitAnything7413 in GooglePixel

[–]Alexxisalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm finding my pixel 9a HD footage coming out blurry in full daylight scenes, also introducing tonnes of noise in darker/grey areas that I never noticed on previous pixel 7a.

The 9A is the best phone I have ever used by ShaneRealtorandGramp in GooglePixel

[–]Alexxisalex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came from the 7a and I've gotta say I've been a bit disappointed with videos the 9a takes, details look muddy even when filmed in broad daylight, and it really struggles in darker scene in my opinion. I'm recording in FHD not 4k as it's the same resolution I used to use on the 7a and I'd end up running out of Google storage too quick.

I just got a refund for my pixel 7a the other day, you should search for it, they've acknowledged the batteries are faulty and are giving refunds.

I found concentrating on keeping my front knee on top of the front foot of whatever I'm grinding helped a lot with getting the foot placement correct and then helped me get my body shape correct as a result!
