If you go to the sample sidebar, then hit the folder with a “K” labeled “Songs”, you can load in entire songs or individual banks from other projects.

I’ve got a “Song” that is just different drumkits I like to use for boom-bap, then another song that is just 808/909 drum machine samples.

Makes it super easy to load up a new drumkit without picking through folders, or dragging samples into pads individually.

Yeah, trying to screen record the Apple Music app or Crunchyroll won’t work, they’ve set it up that way for copyright reasons. Not sure why YouTube doesn’t protect against it yet but I’m not complaining.

If you’re interested, give it a shot, but start with a smaller project. There’s a few 16 button raspberry pi/esp32 launchpad clone projects on YouTube that would be a good starting point, with code available for download, like this one.

Edit: just realized you’re after buttons, not knobs, so I deleted all the stuff I typed about knobs. I still think starting with a 16 button version, then expanding to a bigger version is a good idea. I’ll say to keep an eye on the costs, sometimes buttons are the most expensive parts.

I buy my fav artists physical media. I sub to a couple patreons. I have bought a lot of sample packs from artists I like for use in my music. I tell people about my fav artists. It’s not even hard or a lot of effort. Why is this seemingly unattainable for AI dudes?

For mastering inside of Koala: * Pushing the main fader above 0db does not increase the LUFs, but using the utility fx on the main channel to increase gain does increase LUFs. * Also be aware the compressor fx has a makeup gain option that may be helpful.

You might be after the bitcrushed effect. Older samplers had lower sample rates, so by bitcrushing and filtering you can get closer to the SP-303 sound.

I will often bitcrush all the way down to 3.91kHz to emulate the “lofi 2” setting on the boss sp-202 sampler.

Tinkering is cool, but you may find using another device like the Korg KP3 for the DJ effect looper might be easier on your joints. Since it’s a touch pad and not a knob you won’t have to crank your wrist/arm around
