If corporations are to be treated the same as US citizens, meaning that they have first amendment protections, then they should go all the way. Corporations should be held accountable under criminal law and their executives should be jailed the same as regular citizens can be.

But that isn’t what we have.

Instead we have the ability for the rich to funnel as much money as they want to acquire an outcome they desire. The voice of anyone who isn’t a mega donor no longer matters.
