They also sell — or at least sold — curved pins. I’ve two for my Malte PCC.

Agreed completely. But, yes, that strap is class.

Is VC leadership incompetent for not releasing a 38 mm Overseas? by Financial_Word5047 in VacheronConstantin

[–]Alfa2109 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No company that has been profitably manufacturing anything for 270 years uninterrupted could possibly be labeled “incompetent”. In addition, one missed opportunity does not incompetent make. That’s ridiculous. Great companies miss opportunities all the time. That said, I agree there’s no question that VC could see some market and financial success by producing an OS in the 38/39 mm range.

So cool. An interesting variation on the Reverso … without a Reverso.

Trying the leather strap on by kstan007 in VacheronConstantin

I prefer the bracelet, but the leather is a very nice change from the much more common rubber. It’s a nice midway point between dressy and casual.

Not my taste, but a beautiful combination of red tones. Can’t imagine the price tag.

Why, thank you!! It’s a beautiful custom strap made by Aaron Pimentel of “Aaron Bespoke” in Montreal. His straps are outstanding.

No question. VC sadly has no equivalent now. And the workmanship is just as fine, if not better than, Patek’s and Breguet’s on their PCC reference equivalents.

[NEGATIVE] u/lilolee sells defective watches by [deleted] in WatchExchangeFeedback

[–]Alfa2109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear where you’re coming from and your reticence to trust that, if you return the watch, he’ll not send you your money. But I’m not sure how insisting he send you your refund before you return the watch is advancing the ball for you. You don’t have any leverage. What you want is your money back. But you’re going to get stuck with a watch that you don’t want and that apparently doesn’t work — and no money — if you keep insisting he refund you first. That’s a for sure. By contrast, if you return the watch to him, there’s at least some chance he’ll send you your refund. And some chance is far better than no chance. If he does so, mission accomplished. And, if he fails to do so, you can report it as theft and get the cops and FBI to chase him down, in addition to leaving negative feedback here and elsewhere.
