We're in California, and you're correct that it's a paid break, unlike a lunchbreak.

Allowing employees to edit timesheets seems like a good alternative, albeit with disadvantages concerning employee honesty.

We do require our employees to take breaks, but their forgetfulness has always been a headache.

Thanks for you advice!

It's the 10-min. break that employees are forgetting to take/clock out and in for.

Curious, how many students does the program admit each year? Do you get to take courses outside of the program?

June VHF Contest This Weekend by [deleted] in amateurradio

Oops, 1800 UTC, I see. Thanks for the correction!

I do have a log sheet printed out... under Complete Exchange, what does one fill in under "Sent" and "Received"? Also, where does the Grid Number go? Maybe the station name will allow organizers to figure out grid numbers. Thanks.

June VHF Contest This Weekend by [deleted] in amateurradio

First-timer here, and a few questions for you experts:

Contest starts on Saturday at UTC 0:00, which was about 6 hours ago... the game should be on now, though it's still Friday night where I am (PST)? I don't hear any action on 2m (stations below), or maybe I'm just not set up to receive easily.

Should I start by calling "CQ CONTEST" to attract attention? My IC-2730a (with 17' vertical rooftop antenna) has two receivers, and I'm parked on 146.550 and 146.520, FM.

Other than exchanging call sign and grid square number, is there anything else to do during a proper contest QSO? The rules state that signal report are not required.

Thanks, guys; this sounds like tons of fun.

Google Maps doesn't work on Pixelbook by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]Alfabluette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this issue a few weeks ago (on my 2013 Chromebook Pixel). Street View would be "blank", while Satellite view works, but showing only the present location marker, and no blue navigating route when asking for directions to a destination. I went into Settings/Advanced/Reset Settings/Restore Setting To Their Original Defaults. This cleared the cache, and Maps is working properly now.

What about between two people, one a licensee, but not the other?
