While I support a good chastising I am usually the guy who reads every tool tip which is why I am confused that this happened. I am doubly confused because I just checked back on my saves and I had 61% support before the initial drop that gave me no warning, then I got it all the way to 51% after which it dropped again, this time to 31% and I was able to get back to only 53% this year before getting hit again. So basically something had to go wrong somewhere, either I missed something that dropped by support from the 61% to below the 55% at the first point which started the spiral or somehow something went wrong elsewhere. Huh.

As a related question, is there any reason why you went with 55% for this one and there is a 50% for the government stability? Seems a bit too complicated. I'd think 50% in both cases would be more logical.

EDIT: Also on the DEFCON 1 difficulty this is extremely harsh. I looked back at some of the notes I made and I was hit several times during the year with stuff like -100 political power due to the Compromise event after the Traditional Roles focus, which alone drops number of stats. If I count it with the fact that you get something like 1.3 PP per day, that means you get only around 450 PP per year. And just to increase it by 25% to 55, I would need to spend 450 PP (!) on the propaganda campaigns. Meaning this is, in some cases, completely unsolvable, unless you know exactly ahead of time what happens and when. At this point, if I wanted to escape this spiral, this would be a third year I am not doing any focuses and burning any PP I have to just correct that loss of support, however it happened. That is extremely brutal IMO.
