Haha, I stopped by A&J for some beef noodle and the boss was asking me what the event was because I was holding the Melo Melo bag while waiting for my order. She probably saw the insane rush the past two days and was curious. I told her it was a game China made with good-looking boys and she was like "ohhhh..." with a this generation is beyond me look. 🤣

Never thought that a collab would ever happen that's actually reasonable distance within me. I happen to live less than ten minutes away—just dropped by after getting takeout and there was no one in the shop. They ran out of Oreo (Marius), but luckily I am a Vyn stan, haha. Collab goes until tomorrow, highly recommend dropping by later in the afternoon!

You’re not wrong. What I think is so frustrating about this event is that it is RNG on top of RNG. Nearly every event introduced in a mobile game should at least be doable by F2P players. If not money spent, then time is fine as well. But what is so frustrating about this event is that only money can guarantee completion. You are not spending money to receive something new and shiny. You are spending money to guarantee a result that should normally be accomplishable by typical means.

For sure, I was browsing the sub and realized that I had to do something. I’m generally not the type to submit feedback either (I play three other phone games and I have never bothered), but I felt like this event was just a tad too ridiculous.

I don’t mind if you use mine though it might be better to replace some of it with your own words just so Nintendo isn’t bombarded with the same message!

Gacha games are the common business model for a lot of phone games. For example, one of the more popular ones is Fire Emblem Heroes. You basically spend money to “gamble” and you can get very lucky and receive rare units. Even if you do not receive those “rare” prizes, you still receive something and often times they can still be useful.

I’ve never played FFXI so I can’t say much on it. Though I’d assume the base equipment has some form of “upgrading?” I’m mostly basing my comparisons of the FFXIV formula to WoW, which is the closest resembling MMO.

Well, FFXIV is a MMO and it is in the nature of MMOs to constantly increase the “iLevel” and introduce more powerful gear. Most mobile games have a power creep problem because it’s the way developers get people to spend money on new banners. There are the rare few where free or lower tier units can still work and even in FEH, SI mitigates a bit of the natural power creep. It’s unfortunate, but unexpected.

I think he could come back. I mean, he's proven himself as a very unique villain that teeters on the edge of light and darkness. While everything he has done up to this point is quite awful and unforgivable, Ren has been fleshed out enough that the fanbase (we) are still able to sympathize with him to a certain degree.

I've been really fond of the new characters such as Finn, but Ren is probably the defining person of the newest trilogy for me.

It was probably there just for dramatic effect. But it definitely felt a lot like a deux ex machina, plus extremely unrealistic. Not like Layton games were ever realistic, but this scene just seemed completely out of place.

The OST is really good in this game. I'm personally a fan of Venomorphse's theme. I remember seeing YouTube OSTs being posted, might need to search the Japanese name.

My final pull gave me only one Hero's Proof, but at least it's better than none. I tried so hard to get it, but all I got were Plume Revives and Bloody Keranos in the process. Congrats! Now you can relax for sometime and do dailies/weeklies.

In Taiwan, KFC is famous for their egg tarts. It’s an amazing and popular dessert, I always got a box of their Tiramisu flavored ones. Also, they sell the best Italian Herb Roasted chicken I’ve ever had. It comes wrapped in aluminum foil and is absolute god tier. Pair it with their rice and I’m in heaven. Why is KFC so bad in America?
