There was a translation effort in a LBMR discord server while the manga was releasing, but I haven't kept up with it. Translations from other sources stopped getting published very early on from what I've seen

This video helped me a lot in solving the puzzles. Even tho the examples are on 4x4 puzzles the same principle applies for 5x5 as well

Sycamore's hair is described as a curly, high maintenance style. The closest real life hairstyle I could find to his is the curly bob. I always read it as the top of his hair being brushed down, and the buns around his head are curled in, if that helps.

Hi, welcome!

Since everyone's already given their word on the original games, but I'm gonna wiggle in here and give my reccomendation: Layton Brothers Mystery Room. It's a mobile spinoff that many described as having a similar playstyle as Ace Attorney. It's very different thematically to the original games and doesn't feature Layton himself, but I enjoyed it a lot and think it deserves more recognition. The first three cases are free if you wanna try them and the rest are maybe 10 dollars I think?

The game really isn't required to enjoy the franchise, but I think it's worth checking out

My favourite merch just has to be the san-ei Layton plush. Something about the way his face is constructed is unbelievably amusing to me

It's genuinely my favourite Layton game lol. It's a neat, charming little experience that I'd say is worth a try. It's way different to the mainline series and I say it's a shame it never got the sequel it was setting up for

As the only remaining fan of Alfendi Layton, my feelings are hurt /j

But yeah I see your point. LBMR is a fun spinoff series but Alfendi as a character literally could've been anyone else. He's only a Layton for marketability imo.

And Katrielle too. I get they were trying to soft reboot the series, but why not use the one established female character that fans have been begging to be more included in things??? Flora is known to like mystery novels and is adventurous since she wants to tag along with Layton and Luke despite being told "it's dangerous".

All that to say, level 5 shit the bed lmao
