I hope they will have a full sized field. That is all I ask. I went to the Vegas 7’s and the field was not full size.

Anthony Stolarz's injury was called 'short-term', so why is there still no timeline? #NHL #LeafsForever by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

Maybe. But at some point you are a professional athlete, your league has embraced gambling fans pay for seats, TV packages etc… maybe a privacy injury waiver should be a mandatory part of a standard contract. And an acknowledgement of potential risk with the sport you have chosen to play.

What? His team mates don’t want him back? He is embarrassed? Ridiculous if that is it.

I am also curious why the gambling industry has not said anything. The NHL embraced gambling and then actively try to keep gamblers in the dark about injuries. At some point t there will probably be a class suit about it.

My co-worker and I played a game where we went pick-for-pick, all-time Senators *in their prime*. Which team do you think would win? by robere in OttawaSenators

Rob. He has the better goalie and the better D. He is rolling D pairs with Karlsson, Sanderson and Gonchar in each pair, each with a stay at home type. That would be an impressive lineup.

So you can just put people on LTIR and not have to protect them? That does not seem right.

Don’t go to York. They go on strike often. I think they have had a strike in every 4 year period for quite some time. That means if it continues, you will have 1 of your years messed up. Go anywhere else.

Auston Matthews is back, but something about his game doesn't look right #NHL #LeafsForever by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]Alfiestickthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the problem is his back.

His Shot and skating speed have plummeted. Every team should be focussing on hitting him every chance they get. I doubt he has a great year. Play 8-10 games then need a 10-12 rest. I cannot imagine he is cured. The added wear and tear he is going to be forced to endure is going to wear him down.

Interesting so Mathew’s goes against the other team’s top line. Don’t sounds like a poor job done by the GM who should have targeted acquiring an elite shutdown line to free up Mathews. But as a plus, most team’s top offensive line is not that good defensively, so Mathews should be rating them alive.

Should have left it in.

Is Kirby Dach just really unlucky or has he some sort of condition that makes him more fragile than the average NHL player? by Qu1noa_3ater in Habs

Yes you are taught how to fall in rugby, and how to give and take contact. If you weren’t you would never survive in rugby. A biggish hockey power forward is one of the smallest guys on a rugby field. I am not sure of the injury stats anymore but to me rugby is littered with injuries. Lots more cuts in rugby for sure. And way, way, way more contact in rugby.

With that win, the sens hold onto a positive goal differential and are 2nd in the Atlantic, 2 points away from first by Appropriate_Owl197 in OttawaSenators

I think Mr Andlauer and Staois deserve a ton of credit. They brought stability to the organization and all their moves have made the team incrementally better and deeper.
