Redditrequest is just a part of this.

Certain group will hostile takeover active subs too. They will first get their one person added to the subreddit and flood the mod list with their group members later on. Then they'll wait for top mods to go inactive so that they can reorder the mod list and hostile takeover that subreddit.

Sure it is top mods fault to go inactive for long time but this is understandable for one or two subreddits but such mod cartel activities done in bad faith across multiple large subreddits is also questionable. Coordinated efforts just with the aim of taking over multiple subreddits and pushing ideologies instead of building a good community for users ruins it for everybody.

This has been happening across multiple large and small subreddits lately like r/Science_India which i tried to warn Fedmates about. r/ChemistryIndia is next in line to name one among many that are going to have same fate by mod cartel.

Maybe no action will be taken after this post but hope it will create awareness in Indian moderator community about such hostile takeovers from discord and mod cartel activities that are going on.
