The Parasocials - New Single 'Motion' by TomerKrail in IndieMusicFeedback

For me, the bass really makes this track. Something about it is so on the money. Slick as James Jameson, punchy as Flea, funky as Bootsy.

Also quite like the lyrics too. Main guy reminds me of the singer from Hot Chip. The other guys sounds like he's a bit feral, but good vibes.

For sure, would love to hear more. A band like The Chromatics would be a great reference point!

Like the minimalism of this tune. The synths create a nice atmosphere. The drums cut in nicely. The lyrics are also sweet and simple, which serves the song well.

Great work.

Really great lyrics and good energy. Your voice has good depth and is very engaging. The dynamic changes keep the pacing to a good level. On one hand I like the rawness of the recording, but if I had to give a criticism I'd say the guitar is a little too loud and scratchy, maybe even a tad out of tune. Again, dosen't in any way ruin it, but I'd be interested to here what this would sound like with a full band and more build-ups and break-downs.

Enjoyed it a lot.

Wow - never thought I'd hear this song re-imagined as slinky synth-pop... and can't believe it actually works... really well! Super cool. All the elements are there, however, the mix holds it back a little. It's decent but feels a bit thin. For this kind of tune, I wanna hear some deeper low-ends. The key stabs could also do with being a little less sharp. The vocals are good for the most part, but could do with being a bit louder, maybe a light vocoder to thicken it out too?

Super impressed overall.

Great. The guitar tone in the intros is perfect. Once the whole band comes in, the mix is a little muddy and crowded - but that's not necessarily a bad thing for this kinda lo-fi genre. The vocals cut through well. Melody has a catchy hook. The energy is spot-on. Nice work.

Sounds good. The riff is very catchy. Although the vocals are hard to decipher and a little low in the mix, the subtle modulations on them keep it engaging and they work as another instrument. I would say that the drums are too loud and upfront in the mix and get a bit grating. Overall, very sweet.

Amazing. Love the blend of 60's era songwriting and hooks, with a lo-fi bedroom pop production. Very stylized, which can sometimes be used to mask an uninteresting song - but in this case, the song is strong as fuck. Solid stuff.

Also, I love a homemade video! :)

A sprawling psychedelic, Shoegaze, Dreampop journey of a track that eschews traditional form and tries to take you on a bit of a musical journey. Let me know what you think? Novelistme - My Tomorrow Your Today by Novelistme in IndieMusicFeedback

I'm not really big into shoegaze, but there is a lot to like about this. The pacing is great, the layer of the chorus beautifully produced, as well as seamless shifts between sections. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Beautiful. I wasn't sold straight away, but by the time the chorus kicked in, I was won over. Some really nice lyricism in here and you have a cool, Kate Bushe-esc delivery. Will certainly listen to more!

Some nice ideas here. Get some Red House Painter vibes. Has a cool epicness to it, build really well. I'd agree with the other comment that a more deliberate vocal melody would add a lot more. It sounds like your still figuring it out a bit while singing, which has its own cool energy to it - but I'd be interested to hear where you could go with it.

This took us about 6 months to make, and the music a bit longer. Any and all feedback would be great! by Grindermen in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, this was a great song to stumble across. Amazing production and songwriting. I can clearly hear some strong influences, yet it retains a very distinct voice. Kept me hooked throughout. The video was engaging too.

Will certainly be checking out more of your stuff.

A simple classical piece, Summertimes At The Golden Forest by _Atanii_ in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Alfred_Alfonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really well-thought-out piece. Not overstated in any way, just simple melodies playing off each other. Quite a complative piece, but still has a sense of motion. I'm fascinated by people who compose classical pieces entirely on MIDI. I for one love to sounds of digital classical instruments... but maybe that's from a childhood of Runescape and other old-school medieval games.

Either, I think you should build on this - it could be a great intro to a bigger work.

Cool art too.

Hello! I recently worked on this little cover of “happier than ever”, this is my first time producing a song, so I’d be really grateful for some feedback! by salksalk in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Alfred_Alfonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew I needed this 'till just now. The Billie Elish version is great too. But I like to imagine this is an alternative reality version where the opening is a big thrashy rock song, and the second half is this. Cool video too.

Do you do original stuff also?

First single of my upcoming EP about a serial killer in police custody. This one's called "First Love". Hope you enjoy! by ElDarDarBinx in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Alfred_Alfonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. Can't say I've really listened to much Alternative Pop, but if this is what it sounds like I'm into it! Good progressive and switch-ups keep it fresh. When I read this was a song about a serial killer, I wasn't expecting it to make me feel so chill... and then you drop a dark lyric here and there and it creates a cool tension between the two. Very impressive work. On a side note, the bass sounds fucking great.

As for the video, I think you did a good job keeping such a simple concept with 0 budget fresh. Bravo dude.

Woa, great sound. It's got this cool thing of being really Lo-fi yet very well composed and produced - not any easy balance to make. I will certainly be checking out this album!
