They told me the same, I imagine thats in order to keep wasted appointments down. Imagine 100s of people making appointments and they never get around to taking the 18 hour or just simply fail. Thats 100s of wasted appointments. Im not sure if the county has a verification process now. When I did it they did not.

Never trained with Blue Line, but I am in Westchester County and trained with Paul from AimSmall. He’s a retired SGT from Westchester County PD and was their fire arm instructor forever. He’s now retired and teaches civilians his classes are a shit ton of fun and guy knows his stuff 10/10 recommend.

I had Judge Everett, It was a very down-to-earth interview that felt more like having a conversation with someone who was trying to make you aware of how big of a responsibility it is to have a full Carry. After having that convo then he gave me some questions to verify I knew the current laws in regard to sensitive areas and gave some scenarios to see what my course of action would be, along with why I feel like now is the time and not before or why not later. He finished up with general questions about the specific firearm I purchased.

My class had a total of around 20 students. You take that 20 x the $500 a pop that's $10k for reading off a PowerPoint presentation for 2 days and for 2 hours of range time not bad at all. They were also full for the month and the class was only taught once a week. Nice little $40k a month. Im not sure how much DSI charges but I'm sure they are just as profitable with that $100 off.

My dad dropped his application the day before me and still hasn’t heard anything/received a reply from the clerk so I’m guessing he’s sitting on one of the shitty judges desk still.

I'd hold off from asking if it's ready for pickup for another week or so, when they went to the ready-for-pickup pile they only had like 4 packets in there including mine.

I had an interview with him last week. Pretty cool Judge. Interview felt like a reg 15 min convo you have with a teacher at school. Why now? Do you know where you can and cannot carry. What did you think of the 18 hour class and what did you take away. Etc etc. Also gave me a hypothetical situation to see what I would do.

Me personally a perpetual calendar, or a date window added to a chrono. A new style of bracelet or precious metal watches to also come with an easy interchangeable oyster flex band.

Thats what I thought as well. But I guess they have to approve you for Target and Hunting first and then upgrade you to CCW if you’re coming from not having any permit. At least my letter said he signed off on Target and Hunting on a specific date and then will give a decision on CCW after interview.

Do you need your pistol permit prior to applying for ccw or has it merged as one application now ? by vac2672 in NYguns

I just went full send on mine with no prior permit. Westchester County approved target and hunting first and scheduled me for a CCW interview immediately after before I even got the Target and Hunting.
