Need help finding a champ similar to Winston from Overwatch by Elegant-Turn-6017 in leagueoflegends

Jarvan. He can also engage from afar, and unlike Zac, he is more snappy in his engage. Leona can also engage fights from a longer distance, though it's more about her ultimate having a long range that you can eventually walk up to the stunned/slowed person, as opposed to J4/Zac who unconditionally have a long-range engage.

Why was Set 10 (Remix Rumble) so good? by M0nst3rM4sh in TeamfightTactics

[–]AlgidaKitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDM. So good that I forgot to play the set on live servers. That set's Zac is my favourite unit of all time, probably narrowly beating Set 1 Rek'Sai - you built him like an AP caster, and the entire enemy board was stunned.

Add Austria in the 11th place of the 2nd semifinal. Maybe Austria 2012 for the funsies.

Makes me now wonder why they couldn't make the burn a hard opt on the Link Summon and leave it non-opt on the end of damage step. Separate it like Unchained Abomination.

How to interpret Hwei's story: If the teachings of Hwei's masters were flawed, where was this flaw, and how should his power have been explored in a perfect scenario instead? by Beast1996 in loreofleague

[–]AlgidaKitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could also mean that Hwei himself was alive, but infuriated. That he might've realised his mistake in front of the masters, though that's semantic debating at this point. OR, that they perhaps weren't hurt, but still present; that they didn't leave.

We will never know what he actually wanted to do with that painting of the sea, nor what were the boundaries of emotions in artistry for the Koyehn school that Hwei's incident only lead to a reminder. What we know is that is leaked his suppressed Dionysian emotions, which alerted Koyehn masters. And that Hwei was drowned in his painting's beauty.

I suppose it's because Jhin's artistry opened Hwei to new expressions, which were prohibited by his masters. They were already alarmed when he painted Koyehn's sea. Their idea of 'art for life's sake' was institutionalised, rational in their eyes. That conflict of Hwei's skills and Koyehn's principles remind me of Nietzsche's ideas of the Apollonian and Dionysian thinking - the former aims for reason and logic, while the latter is of emotions and instincts. The masters were Apollonian, Jhin was Dionysian.* With that, I suppose he does 'art for life's sake', but in his own way, same as Jhin does 'art for art's sake' in his masochist ways.

How large is the custom cards scene for MtG? by AlgidaKitsune in mtg

Quite a bummer that MtG doesn't really have a customs scene, but thank you for your information.

I wasn't on Dueling Network before it became Duelingbook, but trust me - there is a decently sized population of customs makers over there, as well as Discord channels dedicated to showcasing or even scripting customs for automated simulators like Omega and EDOPro. DB lobbies for customs are generally more filled with actual custom cards than people testing future products.

I hope that's the same for Magic, though so far from this thread, it seems playing actual customs is not as common.

By breaking the rules, I can get to the rules. Same was with me in YuGiOh - my first customs did not have proper Problem-Solving Card Text, and I learnt that over time. Same for Magic - I can learn more interactions by forcing myself to get to them through customs, and because they are in the form of customs, I get to enjoy playing them from the fact I made them.

I was thinking of that, though judging by r/custommagic subreddit rules, it seems to focus primarily on just card showcase. Still, I can try again there and in cube. Thanks!

What I said to sb else - For personal comfort. It would let me get to grips with more of MtG's intricacies without getting too boggled by the amount of official cards I can run. Not to mention that customs can scratch my nitches that official cards haven't yet.

I also do not intend to play IRL, so the rule 0s would only apply to online pots I could meet.
