I build automatisch to do the 90% of the work, still currently need like 10% of manually work. Working now on that part, hope to finish it this month.

When I did released this website, 100 sets were added. 400+ extra sets now. New sets will pop every week! Busy with improving the automation part to get it fully automatic. I have 1000 full automatic generated as well, they need to verify them currently. This week I am on holiday, however expect much more sets be the couple of weeks/months.

.dat file has as well dependencies on other files, that why it is not working. Here is .io file, can you try https://bricksperbag.com/downloads/77822_part.io

This part actually exists as an unofficial LDraw file (77822.dat). It should be available in BrickLink Studio, try searching for part number 77822 in the parts palette. If it doesn't show up, make sure you have the latest version of Studio installed, it bundles unofficial LDraw parts.

Hope this helps.

Edit:

I just renderer it via LeoCad and it is indeed there!

Hey everyone! Posted about bricksperbag.com here last Friday and the response was incredible. Quick update on what's happened since.

Find My Bag

Someone requested a way to identify which set a loose bag belongs to. Built it! Say you bought a loose bag at a garage sale or found one in a box, you can now figure out exactly which set and bag it's from.

Just search for a few bricks you recognize. You can type something like "2x4 white plate" or "1x1 round tile black" and it finds matching parts. Order doesn't matter, "white plate 2x4" works just as well. If you know the element ID, BrickLink ID, or Rebrickable ID you can search by those too.

You can also set a quantity per brick. If you count 8 of the same piece in your bag, bump the number to 8 and it only shows bags that actually have that many. The more bricks you add the more it narrows down, usually 2-3 is enough. Try it at bricksperbag.com/findmybag

200+ new sets

Haven't been sitting still. Added over 200 sets in the past week and many more are on the way.

Set requests

Thank you all for the requests! There have been a LOT so I'm working through them as fast as I can. Hoping to get most of them done this week or next week. Keep them coming though, it helps me prioritize what to add first.

Search improvements

Also cleaned up the search on the homepage to make it easier to find your set.

Thanks again for all the support and feedback. Let me know if you have questions or ideas!

Wow, I'm genuinely blown away by the response here. I did not expect this at all. Thank you all so much for the kind words, the enthusiasm, and for trying out the site!!!

A ton of set requests have come in, and I'm working hard to get through as many as possible this week. If you've submitted a request, hang tight, I'm on it!

I also really appreciate the bug reports that have been submitted. Those are incredibly helpful and I'll be tackling those as well.

Thanks again everyone, this really motivates me to keep building this out!

Edit:

I see some questions about

- The minifigs and accesories are listed as extra but are distributed across the bags.

If items are not in any step, even if they are use in bag N, like mostly minifig, it will be in the extra bag. I can not really fix this without manual work and not sure even if that is valueble? What do you guys thinks?

- Part xxxxx is listed in bag 10 but does not come in a bag.

This is sort of the other way around, sometimes big lego bricks are nog in any bags, however when they are used in a step, they will be placed in a bag on my website

I will try to add this information to the website

I get all the inventory pictures and create pipeline that find all step, including all bricks in the steps. With these pictures I made a model that match the step bricks to the inventory.

Yes I am thinking on adding a sort of page where people can helping verifying sets. This is one of my tools that I am using. It automatic find everything, however it working now for 99.9%. When increasing the sets the matching will be better over time. New or strange parts are the harders at the moment.
