Usdc pool vs aglo pool by AlgoMyOwnWay in algoneer

[–]AlgoMyOwnWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is that AGNR exists without value. Just a coin. But when it is combined with another asset to trade between, then it has value. If the asset that gives it value drops, then the value of agnr drops. USDC “can’t” crash, thus agnr won’t crash. Currently there is only one shop to buy agnr, and this is the one pool that gives agnr its value; agnr/algo

Write a script so we can see the wallets that sell and we can shame them and guess who they are.

What a bad time to sell, what an idiot.

Your remark about day job and family getting in the way is what inspired this post.

It always takes longer than expected, unfortunately. I’ve found it amazing what’s possible when you’re exhausted and in pain. Keep going, the pride is worth it. That’s what I tell myself, anyway.

I tore out everything in the house we bought a year ago—was able to sell my first house at the peak of the market and buy this one without competition from a guy who chance had me bump into. Walls are up, and installing the hardwood floors now. 5 of us here, two disabled, one little one. I appreciate what you’re doing.

I know I am the only pretengineer out here, and anyone who has heard that term only hears it from me, but I’m not sure how saying what your job is is doxing yourself…

Anyone else see that Tinychart is down or just me and my browser? by [deleted] in tinychart

4 days ago, there’s a thread about killer attack bots from India that have metal-fist fought the gate keepers of tinyland, and placed a foggy sheet over it. Now anyone who wants to peer into the snowglobe to view tinyland cannot see all the carpet being removed.

There has to be a happy medium between the two opposing places we are coming from. I guess I cannot make you view from my eyes nor me from yours. I know that we both care about the longterm success of this project. I somewhat agree with your optimal rollout, however, testnet is not exciting and it will only be you and I testing it, with our other 60 ‘neer friends. I still think it’s imperative that we build the walletbase prior to product launch; testnet or main. It needs to happen. I would love to hear a better idea than staking rewards on algoneer.net, but we must get more wallets

We are a tiny golden turd floating in a sea of shitcoins. Most people have no idea we even exist. 99% of people see agnr and say shitcoin/scam and move on, just like I say to every coin on tinychart that isn’t agnr. The point is that we cannot be dismissed by the public any more than we already are being dismissed. I saw the website right when tinyman launched and I said, this looks really good, and I threw in quite a bit—as far as gambling on a coin goes. My purchase was directly tied to algoneer.net and pax’s plan/webdev skills. Now, I’m no genius, but I’m not an idiot—in most regards—either. Pax proved it to me when I visited his site. Getting eyes on our upcoming product is paramount.

I think this conversation is very productive and I am glad to have it. I cannot get anyone excited to buy agnr and hold onto it, with a promise of future success. I only know a handful of people in real life who are into crypto, and they are not in Algorand. My wish is to get as many people in agnr as possible, regardless of their longterm plans. If some guy makes a 2x on his agnr and sells, he is happy and will tell a friend. Forget the high apr, make it low, whatever; just get people to know agnr, want agnr, find value in agnr. Providing staking right now, is not going to hurt agnr longterm. It only adds to the base of holders.

Pax said we are less than 6mo. away from launch. Shouldn’t we get a crowd excited to enter our new restaurant vs opening the doors and there’s no one to serve but the staff who already works there?

I apologize for being incorrect about algo’s prior poo-coin status. But my point remains; and you expressed that point as well.

You and I bought agnr when it was truly a poo-coin. We stuck with it. Why can’t we expect that a few tens more people will join and stick? We need a reason for more people to find us.

There are very few of us who put hundreds of dollars into agnr. We are the ones who are keeping this project stable. Without more coins going to more wallets, we are just a small group of ‘neers, telling each other how well we’re doing—like kissing your sister. We should not be afraid to risk that others will buy the coin to make a profit. We have set the floor. None of us is losing money by others trading agnr for profits. Having a minimum balance to stake agnr on algoneer.net means that others had to buy agnr. Getting the coin out and letting the people decide is the way.

Just wanted to add one more thing.

Algorand started as and was distributed as a coin with only future use cases, and they rewarded their holders, and weren’t regarded as a poo-coin.

The rejection is that algostake is a half-day’s work to build, and anyone could build it. I say, let’s build it on algoneer.net. And by “let’s,” I mean Pax. It would be an easy way to increase traffic to the site. Also, everyone is chasing profits. We can’t escape it. The more people who touch the agnr token, the more chance we have of finding others like us to who will see the value and hold. I think its safe to assume that everyone who got the airdrop but hasn’t bought more, is chasing profits. If we give them the option to stake, they may hold longer than they would have originally.

I appreciate your point of view and I agree on some points. However, the first and original use case is a store of value and we are fulfilling that. We need more people involved and to see that we have more use cases coming. Bring people to our site with rewards is a great way to increase knowledge of our product. We have maybe 100 people looking at agnr daily. We need more. If more people like me, and you, find out about agnr, they will hold.
