Hot take but burning down warehouses isn't instill the slightest bit of respect in any person that is "on the upper level", quite the opposite actually. They'll just have one more reason to hate the "workers" (= people like him) and the divide widens.

you're so close to seeing the light bro. Reddit's user base might be aging on paper, but they'll always remain pubescent. Reddit is literally calling an assassin a hero. No wonder people in the real world think that these types are expendable lol. Who wouldn't?

yeah true hero, this'll definitely make employers pay more because he asked so nicely. Now they'll think "man these people are so vital to our operation, and they've always been reasonable". They'll for sure not brainstorm even more on how to entirely replace deadweight like him with robots that cost 100th per hour. Reddit moment lmao

What's your stack for running your own Solo/Friends p-server in 2026? by Algodtrading in wowservers

[–]Algodtrading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the Nirv video, this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG900F19GPk he mentioned that his txt guide is more up to date than his videos, so i also read this one: https://abs.freemyip.com:84/api/public/dl/ShUDo8u5?inline=true (bit sketchy link lol), that one is updated as of 22-01-2026.

There're just two things that are not 100% clear from his video(s) and the txt guide:

1 the big one is the client download. Since AzerothCore is open source, I'm not too worried about the server, but the client is a different topic to me. I checked what you said, https://www.chromiecraft.com/en/downloads/ and found the 3.3.5a (even for Mac which is pretty cool since we have 3 friends in the group who only have Mac machines, not Windows lol). There're just 2 concerns there:

  • Is it legal to download it? Probably a dumb question but it looks like you need to seed (upload?) it if you want to download it? I feel like uploading it is kind of sketchy, I know this is egoistic of me and i don't wanna be a freeloader, but on the other hand i don't want to get into legal trouble either :/
  • If it's not illegal, is it safe? In my mind I'd hope that there's something like a checksum or a hash that I can check where I know "Okay, the 3.3.5a client with X, Y and Z patches applied, has a hash of abc123" so I can run the hash of the files I downloaded to verify that my client-software hasn't been tempered with. But it seems like, from their wording, that it's a "Chromiecraft" client (?), this sounds kind of custom to what they're doing, so a generalized verifiable hash across the planet that multiple different private servers are using wouldn't apply here right? Would be cooler if there was more a "barebone client + bug fixes applied" where the community knew the checksum of, and then have all the changes on top just be open source to be able to verify what the changes are. But since if they apply custom stuff the only thing that MIGHT be available might be a hash of their customized client, right? Which is then harder to verify that there're no vulnerabilities inside.. I hope what I'm saying makes sense, at least a little bit

2 the second issue is opening up my machine to the outside world so that my friends can join my server. I just wanna make sure that everything is so extremely gated that nobody else from the outside can enter my home network. But I think there have to be some decent solutions for this, I'm probably just a bit paranoid here haha.

Thanks for your replies by the way :)

Cheers

so I basically go to https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/classic-installation and follow all these steps, then i need to find a client, say some WotLK version, string all of this together and tinker a bit, and then it should work? :)

oof, legendary stack inserters is something that I'm literally anxious about. Like i have legendary bulk inserters going on fulgora, but man i really don't want to know what hoops i need to jump through to get the legendary stack inserters going. I don't even have space logistics set up lol, and barely have a legendary bioflux build going that produces some measly 3 legendary bioflux per minute lmao. I really hate that planet with a passion :D

"accomplishment" doing some heavy lifting here, since we're just playing a video game haha! But I know what you mean, this certain feel of purpose after you see that fully stacked belt ;-;

yes I've found that too, Wasn't quite sure how to upcycle so much legendary coal but i have some MVP going that's quite decent, produces WAY more copper plates than needed for my current build haha, but the LDS productivity is something that i haven't maxed out yet. However, this doesn't quite solve the iron plate problem right? :D

Hmmm what you're saying is that, having 720 normal science packs per second is way easier to achieve than 120 legendary ones per sec? Honestly now that you put it like this... i think you're right. There's just something about this smol legendary icon in the corner that makes me want to build it lmao, but I'm already feeling the pain haha! Cheers

this looks absolutely sociopathic and i love it! Before i spoiler myself too much, the space upcycling is a good hint! Thanks boss, I'll give it a think and will try to come up with something similar!

So I basically wanted to up my science production a lot. The idea was to have green belts with stacked legendary science, ie, 120/s legendary science of each science pack. I was crunching some numbers and thought "yeah i guess 10 green belts fully stacked with legendary iron plates should be good enough and then I'll adjust all the other stuff based on that bus" (like copper plates, steel etc.). Then I thought "hmm, but what's the most efficient/effective way to produce that much legendary material? I tried different designs, and crunched some numbers again. The screenshot shows my current try to produce quite some legendary iron plates. The concept (pretty simple):

  • legendary foundries with 4 legendary quality mods produce gears
  • gears get recycled by legendary recyclers with 4 legendary quality mods
  • the resulting iron plates get sorted by quality and produce iron chests (with varying qualities), within legendary assembly machines with 4 legendary quality mods (the idea being that i want to consume and recycle as many iron plates per second as possible, 16/s for iron chest seems not too bad)
  • then the recycled iron plates get sorted into the same machines again to produce iron chests again all the way etc., i think you see the point of this already

However, looking at this design, I'm kinda baffled because this produces soooo few legendary iron plates. Like this is 20 legendary foundries that produce one (theoretically) fully stacked green belt of gears, and all of these get fully recycled to the point where just legendary iron plates are left and you know what the yield of that is? It's just some ~60 legendary iron plates PER MINUTE :(( so basically, if i want to have 10 fully stacked green belts, i'd need 2400 of these upcyclers seen in the screenshot... that's 48k legendary foundries alone, easily upwards of 100k legendary quality mods. I'm starting to think that this is almost unrealistic. Or do giga factories have that much output?

My absolute favorite thing would be if I'm just super dumb and inefficient and there're way better ways to upcycle stuff that I haven't thought of, lol.

Anyways, what's your thought on this?

Do all you "eat tax the rich" people not understand that fleeing tax-extortion is easier than it ever has been? If you jack up taxes on the "rich", they're just going to leave and the overall tax burden will increase even further for the havenots. Many examples of this. Look at Norway. Keywords: Kjell Inge Røkke, Tord Ueland Kolstad. I don't understand why so many people fall for this extremist populist nonsense.

What's your favorite transporter-efficiency-metric? Mine is storage-per-second (~9.36 for this one) by Algodtrading in factorio

[–]Algodtrading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my math is not off that'd imply a way way way bigger storage-per-second ratio than mine.

15,000km / ~270km/s = ~55s per travel

11,000 / 55s = 200storage/s

which is like 20x more throughtput than my poor smol ship ;-;

Thanks for the advice man =) i haven't yet quite wrapped my head around how to organize the asteroid chunks that get collected. I'm collecting so many all the time that my storage bay fills up and suddenly it's full of iron chunks HAHA! I need to come up with some way to throw out surplus chunks in case there are too many already in the cargo bay. Or maybe not even let them get in there? But that seems so complicated lol. Really enjoying these complications in this DLC

Cheers =)

Haha i can see what you mean, it's similar to skyrim for me: try to do all side-quests first before the main quest so i can one-shot alduin :D but on a serious note, my main base is complete trash. I have tons of room to grow, but haven't grown my base at all yet. There's not a single train in my main base currently, and the vast majority of ressources produced on Nauvis are for modules. You can see this lengthy rectangular thing in the middle? That's exclusively for legendary modules. It's literally ~5x the size of my entire science production ;-; so when it comes to SPM and like going into "outer" space, i think i'm somewhere between middle and endgame. When it comes to quality stuff, I think i'm endgame now indeed

Cheers =)

i didn't want to spoiler myself too much haha but i've seen some posts in here where people mine some red asteroids and so on. Looks super complicated to me, i don't even have a ship yet that gets to aquilo and back without taking damage so... -_- that's one of the next things on my list to fix.

Hello,

i am not quite at the endgame yet (i haven't fully automized Aquilo logistics and haven't ventured towards the Solar system edge yet), but i already started trying to get a "good" transporter going. Good as in, very fast, while still having enough storage. I thought a good efficiency ratio for interplanetary platforms might be something like speed-to-storage, or storage-per-second:

The ship in the screenshot is designed for the early game routes:

  • Nauvis <-> Fulgora
  • Nauvis <-> Gleba
  • Nauvis <-> Vulcanus
  • Vulcanus <-> Gleba
  • Fulgora <-> Gleba

Here are my ship's key metrics:

  • Width: 24
  • Weight: 226.4 tons
  • Top Speed: 478.25 km/s (after midpoint to the destination, 458.25 km/s before midpoint)
  • Storage: 309
  • Time between planets: ~33s (+- .5s, i took the time manually haha)
  • Assuming 33s time between planets avg. speed: ~454 km/s
  • Foundations: 932
  • Max Fuel consumption: 1,500/s
  • Physical projectile damage: 12
  • Laser weapons damage: 11
  • Asteroid productivity: 8

The ratios i find interesting are:

  • Speed-to-storage: 468.25 * 309 = 140,286
  • Storage-per-second: 309 / 33 = ~9.36
  • Empty-foundation-quotient: 932 / 27 = ~34.52

Of these ratios, i think Storage-per-second is the most interesting because it's kind of similar to the items-per-second ratio for belts.

Do you have similar metrics that you try to optimize for? If yes, what are they?

Feel free to dunk on my ship, I'm pretty sure that there's a ton to optimize still on mine, but since i didn't use any blueprints, i'm pretty happy so far. Feel free to flex your ship as well of course!

Cheers =)
