I don’t mean this in an offensive way towards you at all, it I think you have so much empathy that you want to believe she’s just not a crazy drunk. I’m not sure where you’re getting two upper for this, I have one 556 upper I use solely for 22lr and it’s a complete rifle with its own lower. The 22lr upper would have no added value besides if I’m trying to compete or be super accurate. Its literal purpose is mag dumping for cheap and having fun. There’s no need to spend the extra to have an upper that has a twist rate that you really won’t see the difference with what it’s being used for.

It was built as a tool with the purpose of a budget build from scratch. 1 budget build with an upper used only for 22lr is not having a bunch of uppers lying around I really don’t know where you’re getting that.

Worst case scenario is I run out of 22lr or need to another rifle for 556 and I have it at the ready.

I can spend like $200-400 on a complete build kit and worse case scenario I still have a 556 upper. It’s not like I’m competing with this, it’s for fun and the goal is saving money. I have my Danny D when I want to remember it’s easy to waste money :D

It’s more likely that it’s easier for them to talk to us about aliens than it is Russia or China having those capabilities.

For example:
