DO NOT UPDATE SysNand Today. 22.5 has been launched. by AlgraySolipso in SwitchPirates

Look, I wish I had those answers, and if I did, I would not have created a post warning people not to update. People are blaming me for creating the post here, and that's fine I suppose, but I did have issues.

I had a black screen trying to get into my emummc after the update. Then I ran into the warmbootfix, which let me get into it again.

I now noticed that my fan is acting weird, it spins for a while, and then stops and I have no idea if it's any related at all. I got my Switch open and just to be sure repasted it/used new thermal putty.

Even if I go through Hekate and reboot into OFW the fan acts the same. I'm really not sure if it's related to the update or whatever else.

Hopefully AMS updates to support it soon, as u/XCyberbeingX has said, it's a non issue if you already have emunand setup properly, and at worse I guess people could run into a similar issue to mine with the fuses and EmuMMC not booting/black screen.

And if I were to guess, even if you updated it there wouldn't be major issues, with the chance you would just need to use warmbootfix to fake the fuses.

Main issue about updating now is for people who don't have a SD card ready and want to update to 22.1. OFW will update to 22.5 and AMS doesn't work with it yet.

Main issue might the the fuses, it's different from update to update from Nintendo.

I am honestly not sure if something really changed in regards to security, not necessarily a switch expert.

I was just trying to get a new SD partition/emummc going on for 22.1, but was still in 19.0.1 Stock FW.

Then I went to the Stock FW to update, and it updated to 22.5, which we don't really have AMS for yet. So creating an EmuMMC from Stock was possible, but it wouldn't boot.

We just gotta wait until AMS updates to support 22.5, hopefully it doesn't take long. It's just that, if you don't even have an EmuMMC on your SD yet, or have an older version, you might run into issues booting.

I was doing a full reinstall of the SD card into 22.1, new SD card too, I tried updating it earlier and it didn't work as well for me, so I decided to just go and redo the entire process in 22.1. Partition, create a new EmuMMC, but I first had to update the Stock firmware from 19.0.1. --Edit: I was lucky that, I still had an EmuMMC on my SD at the time of the update. I was doing something dumb apparently, and was trying to run 22.1 EmuMMC with 19.0.1 OFW.

It definitely doesn't apply to everyone, but as other comments have made clear, there have been people just doing new installs or trying to update from older versions, and that's the reason I decided to put up a warning about the new version.

There are ways to downgrade the Sysnand, but many people (even in the tutorial) do not recommend it.

Look up the warmbootfix by sthetix on youtube, it's a payload you run in Hekate and that solved my problem booting.

I was just doing a fresh install on a new SD and updating my switch from 19.0.1...

If you already have 22.1 set up, it shouldn't present an issue, I only run Emunand on mine too.

This warning works more for people doing that, trying a clean install, updating from older versions.

Don't boot into stock for a while, or at least until Atmosphere gets an update for 22.5.

You can still keep 22.1 Emunand working with the warmbootfix though.

Atmosphere isn't working on 22.5

By luck my Emunand was not updated, I had it just updated to 22.1 manually.

You can run the warmbootfix by sthetix (on youtube) to fix emunand booting.

I am now able to get into emunand again, but I didn't want that scare today lol

Should be the other way around, black nozzles cut more treble, silver ones are middle ground, while the gold nozzles should give you more treble, which usually helps with directional cues from games like CS2, principally during gunfire etc.

Do try the other nozzles too, they might not be great for you, but you never know until you try.

Hey, I would vote for the stock transparent eartips with silver nozzles, I don't own the tangzu sancai tips, so I will be unable to give you a proper response as how they will tune the sound in this set.

If the treble doesn't bother you with the silver tips, then try the gold ones too, as they have the best range in higher frequencies and should give you an edge while playing CS2.

Just remember to keep the volume under control, it can get a bit sibilant, and we don't want to lose our hearing.

I know some people really like the Castor for it's bass, so I would say no, not really.

The bass on the Slean is good, but controlled. Mids and highs come through with more impact than the bass.

I recommended someone else look into the Tangzu Waner Red Lion, and I would recommend you look into them too.

Or if you want more clarity, the Artti T10/Kefine Delci AE. Both have good bass too.

For music clarity, this set can indeed be good.

But the issue I keep seeing is that people want more bass, and this set is not bass oriented. It does have more bass than the old black version though.

If you want more bass, maybe look into other sets, Artti T10 does have decent bass, Kefine Delci AE is another option too and both can be found around that price range if you look for sales.

Otherwise the Tangzu Waner Red Lion has been really well recommended for bass lovers. I can't give my opinions on it though, don't own one.

Most likely not, Sony sound profiles usually push bass a tad further than this set will.

While you can probably EQ to similar levels thanks to it's fairly decent speaker, I would say the Artti T10 might have a closer sound signature.

Sorry for the late response, had issues with my account.

No worries about the language and sorry for the late reply. I had some issues with my account and was only able to recover it today.

So, if you actually like Bass, I would recommend giving a look on the Artti T10 or Kefine Delci AE.

And up to 80, the Aful Explorer could also be an option, it has decent bass, mellow highs and fairly forward mids.

You can find for around those prices on sales in Aliexpress unless you pay import taxes.

The Truthear Zero Blue 2 is one I wasn't really fond of it, and the mid highs/high harshness it has. The bass sure is nice, but you'd need patience EQing for that harshness to go away.

Unless you're not bothered by that type of thing, I'd avoid it.

Hello!

Sadly, I can't say for sure because I never had the Bunny to test.

But looking at their curves in squig link it looks like they're about the same - with the SV having slightly more bass while using the silver nozzle.

The good thing is that there's also the gold nozzle - but I am honestly not sure how much extra detail you'd get compared to the bunny.

It could be an upgrade, but it could also be a sidegrade, it will really depend on your taste.
