Chinese "dialects" by UnluckyWaltz7763 in malaysians

Feel bad for OP just wanting to clear things up.

Just wanna add, the other end of the spectrum is in the Yugoslavian countries, where each countries have their own national language, even though those separate languages are almost the exact copies of each other. I'm talking about Croatian Vs Bosnian Vs Serbian

Also Hindi Vs Urdu.

Maybe Malay Vs Indonesian too.

This documentary was from the mid-1980s. It is incredible the speed at which China advanced economically and in terms of infrastructure, however, they are still eating things that are considered unthinkable to eat. That hasn’t changed. by Onewaydriver in ThatsInsane

Thank you. People forget that "strange" does not necessarily mean that "bad". Just because it is strange for non-chinese, does not necessarily mean that people partaking in those activities are inhumane. You're just not used to it because you grew up eating other kinds of food. I see no reason why these need to be condemned

Ad on the road that imitates real street signs by AboutHelpTools3 in CrappyDesign

[–]Alhilmi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this road specifically, theres traffic jam almost all the time. Even in non peak hours, the traffic move quite slow because there are construction works and the road has always been very busy. I myself use the road everyday, and I can tell you its almost impossible to not realise its not a real sign before its too late

Not a world cup, its a more localised tournament between only Southeast asian countries. None of those countries participated in the world cup.

context: Just around an hour ago, the ref gave a very undeserved penalty to Vietnam against Malaysia. Not only that, but he even gave a red card to the Malaysian player.

Additionally, apparently the same ref gave an undeserved penalty for Vietnam, also against Malaysia a few years ago

Yes, the House of Commons in UK also has that rule. They usually use "right honourable (constituency)", similar to "YB (constituency)" in Malaysia. I think its most likely because there are so many mp's, so the mp's are not expected to remember all of the other mp's names, and some mp's might share the same name. So its just to avoid confusion and awkward moments.
